👤The smash burger press was purchased by me. The ridges on the sides would make this a perfect product. It is useless for thin smash burgers. It makes it so you can only get a small patty. Returning it.
👤Excellent press. It needs to be seasoned. It wasn't season it well. Don't believe the reviews that say it's rusty. Unless you dry it with a towel or cloth, it is cast iron. You cannot leave cast iron to dry. Water and a sponge is the proper cleaning method. Kosher salt can be used to scrub. You will never have a rust issue if you rinse and towel dry. This is a heavy press and well built. It isn't a griswold so don't expect the best but a great press.
👤I have two issues with this model, being a relatively simple product with no real fail points. One of them being my fault mostly for not measuring exactly, but also an oversight. The press is too long to fit in a skillet. There's just barely enough of a lip that the press doesn't fit flat on the standard cast iron 2 pack of LL skillets. I've thought about using a torch to round the edges. There is a The wood handle is carved and fitted in a way that it rotates. I didn't find anything in the description that said this was a feature, but finishing a steak with the handle pressed firmly to catch the edge of the iron is unpleasant.
👤We've used this many times for homemade smashburgers, and this does the job. I cover the meatballs with wax paper and then press down on them to make them metal on metal. It is easier if the meat is not in the fridge. There is a For comparison, an audio cd is just over 4. I think the depth is where it needs to be. If I use 1/3lb of beef, they shrink up while cooking, but if I stick with 1/3lb, this tool spreads it out nice, wide, and thin. I use a lean ground chuck. There is a The burger will stick to a seasoned griddle if done right. The first flip will require a wide, chiseled spatula.
👤This needs to be straight on the bottom. This is not a smasher. There is a The space under the patties isn't small enough to smash them. If you want regular burgers, but want a smashburger with a crisp crust, you have to be able to smash it closer to half the thickness that this press allows.
👤There is a conspiracy. There is a hamburger buns got smaller as burger patties got bigger. I can buy 8oz. All the hamburger buns are about 3 1/2. I wanted to make big burgers. I didn't want a big patty. There is a This is it! The cast iron is 6+ inches across. The winner. Wonder makes jumbo buns.
👤The kit was in a box. The cast iron press has substance to it and is heavy with an inner diameter of about 6 inches. The spatula is made of good quality steel. The quality of the steel used in the shaker is good. It will make burger seasoning easier. The wax papers look and feel good, with a good amount of wax on them to prevent burgers from sticking during the flattening process. A well made and affordable product from Cuisinart. Can't wait to try it on the grill.
Cooks both sides of meat. The heavy duty bacon press will allow you to cook your bacon without fear. You can get the perfect crisp with your bacon in half the time. Measures approximately 7 Inches diameter x 2.5 Inches height with a 6 Inches long handle. It can be used for many other foods. The handle is made of heavy cast iron and smooth. A great tool to have in the kitchen. A real estate seller. Evelots has provided unique products with a 30-day easy return policy for years.
👤This works well to keep bacon flat. The design of the handle is the reason for dropping the fifth star. The cylinder is held on by two screws, one at each end, and it is parallel to the ridges on the bacon side. When I tilt the press to drain the grease from the grooves between those ridges, the handle on the mounting screws moves, defeating my draining efforts. The manufacturer tried to prevent this in the design, but the execution was not up to par.
👤I'm glad I finally got to try one of these, I've always wanted to. It works well for what it was designed to do. This works well to keep my bacon flat. It is large enough to help keep grease splatter down. I use it on ham to keep it flat so there is no bubble in the middle. I've used it on pork chops and hamburgers. I plan to use it on grilled sandwiches as well. It is very sturdy and well made. It is easy to clean.
👤This is one of the things I love about my tiny kitchen, it has high admission standards. I use an electric panini press more often than I use the electric one because it gives me more surface contact for veggies. If you don't use oils, it's helpful to crisp up food and keep it from drying out in the middle. If you want to flatten it, you can push it down as much as you want. The wood handle has a nice solid heft and the round shape fits inside a skillet. I don't think they would work for me. I might have let it go in favor of just this, even though my electric panini press folds up and stores pretty compactly.
👤It's a great addition to my griddle tools. It's great to make smash burgers and chops to keep them flat. Buy a tool or junk multiple times. If you love your flat top and iron skillet, this is a must have. If you don't have an iron skillet or flat top, you should get the program. Get one of these. This is a must have tool for the griddle. Highly recommended!
👤I had a small one. It didn't fit my pan. There is a I ordered this one. And it fits perfectly. I followed the instructions to cure it. The real purpose for the weight was not realized by me. I bought it for my bacon, and heating up the weight before cooking makes sure that the food cooks on both sides at the same time. Excellent product.
👤It is not easy to clean cast iron. There is a Warm it up before using it to press, that way the food doesn't stick to it as much. There is a Follow the directions to season the press. There is a Would I buy it again? Oh ye!
👤If you hate bacon to cook unevenly, you'll love this kitchen tool. It's easy to clean. It is made of cast iron, so you need to season it before use. It must be cleaned and oiled after use because it will rust. It's round and a bit small, so I reduced it to one star. American bacon is usually long out of the package, and will curl up outside the press. It's fine for hamburgers and grilled sandwiches.
It's great for cooking patties, bacon and other meats without curling. Wooden hands are safe from burns. Their meat press has a wooden handle. It's the best option for both experienced and novice grillers. Food should be cooked immediately. For more family time. Their grill press is designed to give meats and sandwiches restaurant quality grill marks, so it looks as good as it tastes. You will be impressed with the presentation and the flavor.
👤New York Strips were not something my husband would buy because he hated how fat made them Curl. He would choose a harder cut to avoid having to slice the fat. There is a Since Christmas, he has cooked a few Strip Steaks and they have been great. When the weather is cold, he uses a grill pan with the weight in the unused area. He always says 'thanks for the gift, honey' when they start to curl. It has been a gift for both of us.
👤I want to make sure my steaks and burger patties cook evenly, so I have always tried a weight on them. There is a The weight is worth a lot. It doesn't take long for the meat to cook so evenly, and the best part is when you take the weight off, all the juices from the meat are visible on top. There is a It's wonderful, love it.
👤Great product! Excellent service! I've used a sandwich press before and it worked great. Can't wait to use bacon on that. I have to purchase another one for multiple days.
👤I already bought a lid that came with one of these, so I bought this to have a second press for my flat top grill. I wanted the second. I can do all 4 burgers when I cook for the misses. If you put them on the grill for a bit, they will get hot before you put them on the meet. If you want the food to stick for the first few times you use them, make sure to spray or oil them.
👤Wife is very happy with it. It's hard to imagine not having one.
👤It is difficult to clean. It is difficult to clean the groves. I only found a way to thoroughly clean it by sitting it on a hot grill or fire.
👤I thought the handle would be pinned, but I didn't expect to see the grooves on the bottom. Still using it.
👤Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to buy it for burgers. There is a It is easy to clean in the dishwasher. I will be removing the wood handle until I get tired of it. I don't know if it's necessary.
It is easy to use and clean; wash your hands with warm soapy water. It is possible to make cast iron for pressing out unwanted fats. Grill marks are produced by thick grooves. The handle is stay-cool for a safe grip. Cooks both sides of meat.
👤I was really looking forward to this. I got a bad impression when I opened the box. The packaging was slightly ripped and there was Rust on the side of it. As I opened the box, I saw this. I received it in the mail today. There is a gap between the handle and the iron and the screw on the same side is loose. The handle is not firm when you push it down. It looks like the cast iron is built well. I did not get a good item when I ordered it. I want to show the flaws in the photos. It seems to be a good cast iron. I am not looking forward to using it because of the issues that come out of the box.
👤I thought the handle was supposed to be stationary when I got the press. When I first picked it up, it swung and burned my arm. The manufacturer needs to work on this because I addedwashers to make the fit tight rather than returning it. Pictures of my arm were attached.
👤I don't really like it, but I should give it 5 stars. It does what it should and I like it a lot. The construction is the best I could find. There is a The handle doesn't get hot. The hole for the thermometer is a waste. I can't see people using it. It's a hole to let juices flow through and make a mess. I can't think of a situation where this hole would be valuable. There is a I'm not sure I like it, but it's not a big deal. Would prefer a flatter surface. There is a It's the right size, fits pans better than any of the rectangular ones I initially sought, and works really well without burning your hand. There is a I would buy it again if I lost it. It's the same thing. It's not a good thing It's not a good thing It's the same thing. Update is what it is. It's not a good thing It's not a good thing It's not a good thing The grid/grate on the bottom is more useful than first thought. If this were flat or smaller grids, the grease would run down onto the stove top when I took it out of the pan. This doesn't happen because of the ridges in the grate. There is a This is a big problem when reading other reviews. Not here. I was bumped from 4.5 to 4.0 stars. Plug the T hole and we'll have a full 5.0.
👤We used the brick for various cooking techniques before buying the iron press. We saw this press on a cooking show and thought it looked better and less Ghetto. This is the best grill press we have ever purchased. It was very well made and heavy duty. We use this for making sourdough bread sandwiches. The Press is less than 100 BU. The cast iron press is the best value we have tried. If we don't like press, we give it to someone else. I will buy for Christmas presents for this press, which is staying here.
It's great for induction cooktops. The item shape is rectangular. Cooking time for thin meats and bacon can be halved from 8 to 4 minutes. Measures 8 3 x 4 4 and weighs 2 15 lbs. It is one of the best grill accessories and can be used for flattening bacon and squeezing fat from meats. Ready-to-use Seasoning 100% Non-GMO Flaxseed Oil does not contain PFOAs that can be harmful to your health. A heavy duty meat press is great for bacon beef burgers poultry flatbreads grilled sandwiches and more.
👤This is my first grill press. Many professional chefs recommend the use of a press to ensure that the meat gets cooked evenly, as I am in search of the perfect steak. I am happy with this press. The size is perfect for a Lodge Cast Iron pan. It has a lot of weight in order to get the job done. The handles can be removed for re-seasoning it in the oven, which is nice because you could put a new handle on it if it ever breaks. It is easy to maintain. It works well for items other than cooking meat. My daughter uses it to cook. The cheese gets melted before the tortilla gets burned. Did you ever notice that these are used in restaurant kitchens? I now know why. This product is made in Columbia and comes pre-seasoned. The press doesn't look like Chinese pot metal. It is wrapped in a cardboard sleeve with instructions and a warranty printed on it. It has a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. I would use caution with this in a small area. We have a Teflon coated skillet. If you're not careful, you could still scratch the surface if the edges are not sharp. I would appreciate a vote if you find the review and pics helpful. Thanks!
👤I always look at the negative reviews before buying. I was amazed at the negative reviews. I can't say if these people have a clue about how to manage cast iron. Thewrap indicated that they were seasoned and that they were intact. The bottom has a smooth surface which is nice to keep from sliding around on the food, but not so bad that it will be hard to clean. I put the bottom on the stove to dry after giving them a quick scrub. I don't think the seasoning is made from flax seed, so those wanting high heat capability may want to strip and then re-season with the oil. It should be obvious that the wood handles need to be removed first. The are held with two screws. A well-made CAST IRON product which will press paninis will keep your bacon flat. They should be cared for like any other piece of cast iron.
👤The cast iron for Victoria is gorgeous. This is not the last item I have. It is cast with clean detail and smooth unpitted surfaces. The bottom of the press is very easy to clean and has a waffle-like texture. If you want to place the press in the oven to re-season, you can remove the wooden handle with two screws. If you love cast iron cookware you will love this press. They make the best Tortilla presses. It is ready to use on arrival with just a wash, scrub and dry.
👤I don't like that it was cast iron and broke in the mail.
👤I like the device. If you frequently cook big breakfasts with lots of bacon, you should get two if you want to complain, as this device works best with about 3 strips at a time.
It's perfect for cooks in restaurants, cooks in the kitchen, or BBQ fans who enjoy camping or tailgating. Solid and hardy. The grill press is made of heavy duty cast iron, which is cast properly with clean detail and smooth surfaces. The bottom of the press is very easy to clean and has a waffle-like texture. The cast iron grill press with solid wood handle can help insulate the barbecue press which gets very hot, but it is recommended to use gloves while in use to avoid being shirred by the metal tip of the handle. To maintain, please wash in hand, no dishwasher, and avoid damage to the wood handle. It needs to be coated with oil or olive oil for preservation and anti-rust after use. The cast iron steak weight will last longer than similar products. It's easy to use and useTILE. The weight of the bacon press is 2 lbs. Excellent for cooking a variety of foods. It holds items down for cooking on the grill or pan. This tool can be used with a 10 inch cast iron pan as well. PressURE is easy to clean. It does press evenly and doesn't flatten anything. It's great for burgers, bread, pushing down on steaks, or pork chops to get the perfect sear. The wooden handle doesn't get hot.
The extra value pack has a spatula. The melting dome is made of thick STAINLESS steel and up to 0.72lb weight can anti surface dents and rust free, while the griddle press is made of heavy duty cast iron to avoid harmful PFOA chemicals, Sturdy construction and durable for daily uses, plus a small ERGONOMIC and easy to clean, Silicone handle of griddle dome and matt finish ensure dishwasher safe, Premium wooden handle of grill press avoid wooden from cracking, heat-proof handles and ergonomics made them being easier to use. If you want to cook smoky food like hamburgers, cheese, meats and veggies, you should use a 9in basting cover and 7in grill press with grooves. Useful gadgets for the kitchen include the teppanyaki, cast iron and skillet, which can be used to cook bacons, hamburgers, beefs, poultry, flat breads, grilled sandwiches, quesadillas and much more. It's a must have for cookouts, barbecue, caterers, tailgating, camping and RV, which are found in restaurant settings and make you feel like a real master like them, also a decent gift for dad, husband, boyfriend or anyone who enjoy grilling frequently on festivals.
👤I used to smash my burgers with a pot bottom. You know the saying... The world is made of pot bottom burgers. I had to buy a press when the handle broke. I bought a press. It was not cast iron. I used it to make burgers last night and it worked very well. I wish it was flat because I am not happy with the ribs. It's easier to make themrounder. I believe in the flat burger theory. The wooden handle is nice. It's easy to get greasy but who cares? I am at peace with my grease. That little dome is pretty awesome. I own a sheet pan with a rack. When I put the double cheeseburger patties on the rack, I put the dome over it to help melt the cheese. It works really well.
👤I bought this because I wanted to use it to make burgers on the blackstone. The meat sticks to it, I tried putting oil on it, and I tried getting it hot as well, but no matter what I did it peeled off the middle section of every patty. I hope it is the fact it has grooves. I wouldn't recommend it for a burger press, but I will keep it for steaks.
👤After using this for the first time, I have found myself using it more and more often. The dome spreads and the press maximizes grilling contact make a big difference for burgers and other items. Highly recommended.
👤I used to make burgers on the griddle. It will never make burgers a different way. I recommend. Sturdy. Meat does not stick to the grill press if it is covered in wax paper. The dome was used to grill onions.
👤It is easy to melt cheese on burgers and eggs. It's bigger than most of my skillets. It's too big to be useful.
👤There are great additions to the outdoor grille. Quality utensils. The wooden handle was charred while it was heating up. Good stuff.
👤Roll the burgers into a ball and press them into a flat round one steam shrimp under the Basting cover.
There is one 30 lbs. Dog food and rice in a bag. The HaSteeL grill press is made of commercial grade cast iron, up to 2.2lb heavy duty construction, food grade surface without any coating, it is very durable and healthy for everyday use. 7in of round grill weight is large enough to press more stuff for cooking time saving, features deep texture ridges for leaving perfect grill marks and heat your food more evenly, no more seasoning for the BBQ The handle is held with 2 screws to avoid falling, Premium wooden is heat resistant and can reduce hand fatigue. If you want to flatten bacons or hams to avoid curling edges, press down slightly on the grill weight to squeeze out excess fat or liquid. It's perfect for cooks in restaurants, cooks in the kitchen, or BBQ fans who enjoy camping or tailgating.
👤I am very pleased with the press. It is not too heavy but has some heft. I used it to keep the flatness on some burgers and with a little press occasionally and by leaving it alone on the surface of whatever you are cooking the results are excellent.
👤So far, it's good! I like the size. It's heavy enough to fry bacon.
👤The new design has less weight and is easier to handle. It still has enough weight to do the job.
👤It works the way it should. Good value for money.
👤It works perfectly with my cast iron pan.
👤I would like to have a bigger skillet. I just cook a lot of bacon.

👤It's easy to use and a great price. It's very sturdy and will probably live to see another day.
👤It works well enough to cook bacon faster. How did I do without one?
👤My husband likes it. He has used it to make bacon, hamburgers, and sandwiches. Good weight. Does have a grid pattern. It is made of cast iron. It is necessary to be cleaned, dried and oiled to prevent rust.
👤Holds the bacon down so it can't escape.
👤It is easy to clean, but lacks in weight. I would recommend getting a heavy-duty one. It can be used on burgers and bacon. This one is not good for that. To illuminate.
👤I like it because it makes the food flat.
👤Muy buen producto lo recomiendo.
A kitchen appliance for healthy cooking. Their extra- heavy bbq weight presses grease and fat out of your food, eliminating calories for you and your family. The burger smasher press is rustproof, easy to clean, and doesn't require labor-intensive maintenance as is the case with an iron grill press. The steak press weight has a wood handle that is comfortable to hold without scratching hands, thermal insulation for preventing hand burns, and an ultra-wide shape that increases the stress area for uniform distribution of pressure. The bacon press for griddle is made for comprehensive and well-rounded cooking and has a 5.5” size that covers a wider area in the pan, applies sufficient weight to keep the food close to the heated surface for evenly heating the food, and speeds up the cooking process. The Burger Press Iron isdurable. Their plate is designed to last for a lifetime of delicious cooking and presses out extra oils/fat from the food for healthy cooking. Steak weight press is an ideal gift for loved ones with a penchant for cooking, for all festive and non-festival occasions. The steak iron press has a customer satisfaction guarantee.
👤The grill press is not a thin piece of metal with a wooden handle. It is thick and has some weight to it. The press as a whole is very strong and the handle is very strong. The metal doesn't bend even when pressed down on burgers. I've used this grill press on my flattop grill, charcoal BBQ grill, propane BBQ grill, and even inside when on a frying pan. I've used this grill for a lot of things. I found that with this press, it helps keep meat flat but at the same time, gives it a nice crunch. After each use, I wash it in the sink. I washed and used this several times and it still shows no signs of wear and tear.
👤The handle is the major flaw. The product is not ideal when the hand grip spins as you apply pressure. It makes no sense that it wouldn't be a solid piece. You're not going to remove it for washing. What is the point? We understand the wood being a "cool to the touch" handle, but crappie little screws. You can do better.
👤The grill press is useful for making hot sandwiches.
👤I was looking for something that made great smash burgers.
👤The press worked out great because it was way heavier than I thought. It's the perfect size to make smash burgers with, but be aware of the overall size of the press compared to your skillet. If you only have a small skillet, you'd have to fry one burger at a time. It depends on the size of the skillet, but you can smash and fry about two or three burgers in it. It works great on the grill as well. I'm very happy with it because it has washed well and hasn't rusted. Would recommend anyone who wants to make a smash burger.
👤Exactly as pictured. It retains heat well because it's heavy metal. Couldn't of asked for better.
👤I like it! My grilled cheese sandwiches are coming out nicely. This is a great tool to learn the Maillard reaction. They are well made and affordable. I plan on buying more.
👤Very nice. It worked great when I used it to smash burgers on the outdoor griddle. The grip is comfortable. I like it.
👤It's great for smashed burgers. Also well made.
A heavy duty meat press is great for bacon beef burgers poultry flatbreads grilled sandwiches and more. HIC Kitchen has a Cast Iron bacon press that flattens bacon to prevent it from curling and shrinking. Made from cast iron with a wooden handle; distributes heat evenly; and preheats for faster cooking time. It's easy to season before use; wash and dry thoroughly, coat the pan, and press lightly with cooking oil, heat the pan on low for 20 minutes. When making cheese, thick yogurt, and more, press out the whey when making it. It is easy to use and clean; wash your hands with warm soapy water.
👤I like it and dislike it. I used to use it for a while now. I like it with bacon. It allows it to cook quickly and evenly. I use it with my cast iron skillet and other things. I use it more than I thought. I didn't know that I would like such a thing as much as I do. I go to clean it. It is impossible. They should have put the pig on the top. There is a picture. You can not clean, dry, or season it. I will either throw it away or return it and get a flat bottom one. I forgot to mention it. It rusts because you can't really clean it and season it. The rust transfers to your food. You can't remove the rust because of the pig relief.
👤It should have been a year ago that bacon, sausage, burgers, chicken, all cooks faster and more evenly. I recommend wrapping it in heavy duty foil or placing foil between it and what you're cooking to make it easier to clean. Don't let air dry, rinse and wipe dry if it cools down.
👤Does a great job. It is unseasoned cast iron and needs to be seasoned. There are two ways to do this. Put some oil in the pan with the press and put some oil on the top as well. For an hour or more, heat medium-low. You can remove the wooden handle and put it in the oven. If you wash it after use, make sure you dry it and recoat it with oil. Canola Oil is what I use. It's good for high temperature and natural flavor. I use an aluminum pie pan and a paper plate on top of it to keep the press from rusting.
👤My husband said to be careful what you wish for, "We should have a bacon press". He got a press with a country-pig theme. I don't have rectangular fry pans. This is quite a conversation piece. The pig is cute. Nice price too.
👤At 1 lbs. 8oz. It's not heavy enough for a good smashburger. The quality is not good. I'll probably take the handle off and burn it off on the grill because there's some sort of wax or plastic stuck on one corner. The edges are not square and had little attention to finish. The handle is not centered, but it works well. The design of the pig complicates cleaning. I paid $6.29 for it, so I suppose that's reasonable. It is an easy pass at $12.
👤I was surprised that it was better than I expected. crinkled up bacon is not something I like. This fit bacon strips perfectly. It's great to place burgers on top of cooking. The burgers stay juicer if you put this on them. I leave it on the other burger for about 3 minutes. My husband thought it was a kitchen item. I did the kitchen look like the county kitchen. There is a When I clean it, I let the metal part sit in the soapy water. You don't want the wood handle in the water. I put it in the water on top of something to let it soak up some of the water. The wood doesn't warp. This is a great price and I was very pleased with the item. I looked at a similar one at Kohl's. On sale? There is a Businesses say that Amazon is putting them out of business. I also like to buy local. You're paying double and triple for items. I've noticed that they don't do 40% off one item anymore. Just pointing out the comparison.
