The press can be seasoned like cast-iron skillets to create a non-stick surface. It can be used for many other foods. The steak weight is made of food-grade cast iron, which is healthy, safe, and resistant to rust, and has strong durability. It can be used for a long time. It has a unique texture design that can make your meat look professional. Less time cooking, more time eating, got people coming over, and want perfect, consistent bacon, quick? The jim beam signature iron grill press makes it easier to cook thin meats and makes them cook faster and more evenly.
👤It has a nice weight and does the job. However. After washing, the groves on the back are hard to dry. When you try to dry it off, it stays in the corners. There is a lot of rust in those channels after a few days of use. The groves on the back of my house are a pain to dry off, but they are what keep the water in it. It's not a deal breaker as the surface rust is on the back of the car where it's not being used. It will be difficult to remove the rust when trying to reseason because the channels are so narrow.
👤I was surprised by the quality. Lodge cast iron is what I usually stick to. Between good reviews and a great price point, I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. It is large enough to handle most steaks, but not large enough to handle most steaks. My husband likes the Jim Beam logo. He said that it makes it a manly tool. That's right! The Jim Beam steam cover was also purchased by me. It's a great set.
👤I now know why I couldn't find one of these at a second hand store.
👤I'm a big fan of CI. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. I bought it at the store. Prepared and ready to go. I gave this to my guy because he asked for a few smaller things instead of a large gift. It's safe on the outdoor gas grill with the coil handle. The hamburgers will be great this summer. I will purchase another for myself if I didn't buy 2 at the price.
👤A lot of the others at the same price point looked cheap, but this is actually a quality piece of metal and iron. Don't forget to dry it before it's well seasoned or you'll be stuck trying to get the rust out from the grooves on top.
👤Excellent! It looks great and is perfect for its purpose. If I could cook as well as this works, I would knock them off the air. You need 1 of these if you own a flat top griddle. It makes all meals taste better.
👤It is very well made, but you have to watch for rust. Keep cooking oil in a container. I would buy it again.
👤I like this grill press the most because the handle is not wooden. It works well. I don't wash it with soap or water because it is cast iron and I let the grill cook everything off.
👤I love this press. The cast iron is heavy. I love the size of it and the quality of it. It works well in my cast iron frying pans, on the BBQ, and on the campsite fire pit. There is a I have heard other people complain that the top was getting rusty after washing. It's "Cast Iron" people. If you're going to get it wet, you have to sit it on an element and dry it out completely or it will rust. I give this purchase 5 stars.
The meat press has a sturdy plate that will not warp, and the product is the right weight to prevent steak or salmon from curling. The new edge design is thinner and has locking juices when pressing down to create crisp, cracked edges and a juicy center. The 6 inch burger press is made of Burshed Stainless Steel and is rustproof. The round grip handle use laser welding technology, which will not become loose over time, and it can stay firm for a long time. A smooth bottom of the smashed burger press can help you get a burger of uniform thickness. It's easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Simply load the burger smasher with meat, fish or a veggie mixture and press down the handle to make a thin round patty. Cooking can increase flavor. Adding a unique flavor and exerting pressure to make food complete cooking faster. Save time and calories by pressing out grease for healthy cooking.
👤I was skeptical about how long the sides were on this press. I didn't think there was a way to smash a burger this thin. I was wrong. The burgers are very thin. I used a quarter of a pound of rolled 80/20 burger and the patties turned out uniformly round. The sides of the grill will be touched by Smash them down. The smasher is sturdy and well built. Look at the video. Very, very happy!
👤A picture of the bottom of theirshowroom piece with a perfectly smooth base is advertised as smooth bottom finish. The retail version clearly shows where food can get stuck to. I am not happy with that. The 8mm depth is not as deep as the blackstone press, but it is still close to a 5 guys burger press. For a true smash burger I use a flat bottom, but for just a little thicker burger this works perfectly and is my personal favorite. My only wish is that advertising shows the actual product.
👤The handle is too close to the patty, so it gets too hot after a short time, since you need to hold it for a long time to make the burger. The handle is too hot to keep there. If you are making more than one burger. Since the heat conducted has a longer route to travel, a good spatula would work better.
👤It is easy to use and clean. I could have used more appox 4.5 oz balls. I put 4.5 ounces of hamburger between the meat and the smasher in two larger seasoned cast iron skillets. Put the meatballs in the skillet and then press the smasher down and cook them for a minute. Then used a heavy duty spatula to remove the patty from the cast iron and cook it for one more minute. Very good!
👤The steel construction is sturdy. I would give 5 stars for the insert rings, but it makes nice patties that cook well on a hot pan or griddle. It is necessary to use wax patty papers to quickly remove patties. Great for making double cheeseburgers.
👤The paper was used between the meat ball and press. It was a perfect size on the griddle. There is a I used it for the first time and it worked great.
👤If you wanted 3 ounce patties, it would make your burger more like a Slider. My son says they are similar to McDonald's cheeseburgers. This is a review for the one that has a lipped edge.
👤Burger thickness is correct. The sledgehammer handle is rigid and durable. It is easy to clean. An excellent product at a good price. It is recommended.
👤A nettoyer va a lave vaisselle de beau hamberger.
Cooks both sides of meat. The heavy duty bacon press will allow you to cook your bacon without fear. You can get the perfect crisp with your bacon in half the time. Measures approximately 7 Inches diameter x 2.5 Inches height with a 6 Inches long handle. It can be used for many other foods. The handle is made of heavy cast iron and smooth. A great tool to have in the kitchen. A real estate seller. Evelots has provided unique products with a 30-day easy return policy for years.
👤This works well to keep bacon flat. The design of the handle is the reason for dropping the fifth star. The cylinder is held on by two screws, one at each end, and it is parallel to the ridges on the bacon side. When I tilt the press to drain the grease from the grooves between those ridges, the handle on the mounting screws moves, defeating my draining efforts. The manufacturer tried to prevent this in the design, but the execution was not up to par.
👤I'm glad I finally got to try one of these, I've always wanted to. It works well for what it was designed to do. This works well to keep my bacon flat. It is large enough to help keep grease splatter down. I use it on ham to keep it flat so there is no bubble in the middle. I've used it on pork chops and hamburgers. I plan to use it on grilled sandwiches as well. It is very sturdy and well made. It is easy to clean.
👤This is one of the things I love about my tiny kitchen, it has high admission standards. I use an electric panini press more often than I use the electric one because it gives me more surface contact for veggies. If you don't use oils, it's helpful to crisp up food and keep it from drying out in the middle. If you want to flatten it, you can push it down as much as you want. The wood handle has a nice solid heft and the round shape fits inside a skillet. I don't think they would work for me. I might have let it go in favor of just this, even though my electric panini press folds up and stores pretty compactly.
👤It's a great addition to my griddle tools. It's great to make smash burgers and chops to keep them flat. Buy a tool or junk multiple times. If you love your flat top and iron skillet, this is a must have. If you don't have an iron skillet or flat top, you should get the program. Get one of these. This is a must have tool for the griddle. Highly recommended!
👤I had a small one. It didn't fit my pan. There is a I ordered this one. And it fits perfectly. I followed the instructions to cure it. The real purpose for the weight was not realized by me. I bought it for my bacon, and heating up the weight before cooking makes sure that the food cooks on both sides at the same time. Excellent product.
👤It is not easy to clean cast iron. There is a Warm it up before using it to press, that way the food doesn't stick to it as much. There is a Follow the directions to season the press. There is a Would I buy it again? Oh ye!
👤If you hate bacon to cook unevenly, you'll love this kitchen tool. It's easy to clean. It is made of cast iron, so you need to season it before use. It must be cleaned and oiled after use because it will rust. It's round and a bit small, so I reduced it to one star. American bacon is usually long out of the package, and will curl up outside the press. It's fine for hamburgers and grilled sandwiches.
The measures are 8.75" x 8.75" x 3.25" The best bacon can make it hard to cook evenly. The bacon is flattened by the Cast Iron Grill Press. The wooden handle is cool to the touch. It's ideal for bacon, ham, grilled sandwiches, hamburgers and quesadillas. Use as a steak weight. In a skillet on the stove top. Instructions for seasoning, cleaning and storage are included.
👤I've been a fan of cast iron pan for a long time but never owned a bacon press. What was I thinking? This unit is great. I seasoned it with a thin layer of FLAX seed oil because it had a few thin spots. The handle has been removed. For 90 minutes in the oven. Do it again. It's perfect. I can't believe it works for all meat. It reduces the amount of splatter. It fits all three of my standard No. 8 cast iron frying pans. The round pan has a round press. Sturdy construction. The press is heavy duty. Nice handle. Fast shipping. Highly recommended. It still works like a champ. After use, I wash it with hot water, scrub it up, and dry it on the stove. There is not a spot of rust. It's perfect in my standard No. 8 frying pans and my new Lodge square griddle pan. The people with rust do not follow basic cast iron care.
👤I like this press. It's light and nice. The wood handle is not hot. One thing caught me by surprise but shouldn't have. I own a cast iron frying pan. I pre-warm it. When I tried the press for the first time, I put it in the pan and pre-heated it. The burger was cooked on both sides. I let the other side cook for a minute, but it cut cooking time off. There is a I wasn't expecting that, but using the press eliminates spatter. I was considering getting a screen or splatter guard, but now I think I'll hold off on that. There is a The press can't be used for burgers. I haven't tried it with bacon yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I would buy it again.
👤See my pictures and instructional video on cast iron... I haven't used it yet, but I received it. If you treat cast iron well, it will treat you well. I am going to use the beacon press. When I got it, I didn't think it was right for me to use, until I made some adjustments. It had a finish coating on the iron. I decided to remove it and re-season it. It looks like cast iron. I built a new one from a dead branch because the handle wasn't strong enough. This is exactly what I wanted, and it is now very personal because of the easy custom work. I like the look of the cast iron. This will be a great piece of my cast iron cooking collection. You can watch my entire re-seasoning process on my channel. This is a good buy if you want to do your own personalization. The handle is easy to remove in order to season the oven. Rub more oil in after each use as you would with cast iron.
👤I've been using this for a while. It is strong. If the handle bothered me enough, it could be fixed with minimal effort. I left the handle on when I seasoned it in the oven and it came out looking a little old. I liked the look and was impressed that it was high quality and didn't fall apart or burn like cheap garbage. The seasoning should be built up and the coating should be removed. I don't ding the company for that because it's a fact of life. I would be angry if I received a rusty cast iron because the box got caught in a rainstorm. There is a It worked well for bacon. I warm the pan on the burner next to it and then prewarm this. There is a If you've never used a press, your cooking speed will decrease dramatically. It took me a long time to get used to it, but it's worth it. Imagine all the white fat parts of the bacon that are cooked to a golden state that surpasses the meat part. Fix the spinny handle problem. I don't have to.
Instructions for seasoning, cleaning and storage are included. HIC's Cast Iron bacon press flattens bacon to prevent it from curling and shrinking so it cooks evenly and without messy spatter. Made from cast iron with a wooden handle, the cooking surface fits 8-inch pans perfectly. It's easy to season before use; wash and dry thoroughly, lightly coat the fry pan and bacon press with cooking oil, and heat in the pan on low for 20 minutes. When making cheese or thick yoghurt, keep steaks, burgers, and pork chops from curling or pressing out excess fat. Cast iron is suitable for careful use with non-stick pans and can be washed in warm soapy water.
👤I like it and dislike it. I used to use it for a while now. I like it with bacon. It allows it to cook quickly and evenly. I use it with my cast iron skillet and other things. I use it more than I thought. I didn't know that I would like such a thing as much as I do. I go to clean it. It is impossible. They should have put the pig on the top. There is a picture. You can not clean, dry, or season it. I will either throw it away or return it and get a flat bottom one. I forgot to mention it. It rusts because you can't really clean it and season it. The rust transfers to your food. You can't remove the rust because of the pig relief.
👤It should have been a year ago that bacon, sausage, burgers, chicken, all cooks faster and more evenly. I recommend wrapping it in heavy duty foil or placing foil between it and what you're cooking to make it easier to clean. Don't let air dry, rinse and wipe dry if it cools down.
👤Does a great job. It is unseasoned cast iron and needs to be seasoned. There are two ways to do this. Put some oil in the pan with the press and put some oil on the top as well. For an hour or more, heat medium-low. You can remove the wooden handle and put it in the oven. If you wash it after use, make sure you dry it and recoat it with oil. Canola Oil is what I use. It's good for high temperature and natural flavor. I use an aluminum pie pan and a paper plate on top of it to keep the press from rusting.
👤My husband said to be careful what you wish for, "We should have a bacon press". He got a press with a country-pig theme. I don't have rectangular fry pans. This is quite a conversation piece. The pig is cute. Nice price too.
👤At 1 lbs. 8oz. It's not heavy enough for a good smashburger. The quality is not good. I'll probably take the handle off and burn it off on the grill because there's some sort of wax or plastic stuck on one corner. The edges are not square and had little attention to finish. The handle is not centered, but it works well. The design of the pig complicates cleaning. I paid $6.29 for it, so I suppose that's reasonable. It is an easy pass at $12.
👤I was surprised that it was better than I expected. crinkled up bacon is not something I like. This fit bacon strips perfectly. It's great to place burgers on top of cooking. The burgers stay juicer if you put this on them. I leave it on the other burger for about 3 minutes. My husband thought it was a kitchen item. I did the kitchen look like the county kitchen. There is a When I clean it, I let the metal part sit in the soapy water. You don't want the wood handle in the water. I put it in the water on top of something to let it soak up some of the water. The wood doesn't warp. This is a great price and I was very pleased with the item. I looked at a similar one at Kohl's. On sale? There is a Businesses say that Amazon is putting them out of business. I also like to buy local. You're paying double and triple for items. I've noticed that they don't do 40% off one item anymore. Just pointing out the comparison.
barcode scanning is only avaliable in the US. The Lodge 8 Inch Seasoned Cast Iron Round Grill Press is a great way to cook. Cook the perfect grilled cheese, keep your bacon flat, or sear a steak. Seasoned with vegetable oil. Cast Iron has a high degree of heat retention and heating.
👤I gave up bacon. I use both of them as door stops. They work better than anything else I've tried. They don't scratch the floor. They hold my door with ease when the crosswind picks up.
👤I hate bacon that Curls up when cooking so I bought this to do it. The hardware left the handle loose in all the reviews. I was prepared to buy replacement hardware at the store, but it was not needed. I think the problem people are having is that the nuts included do not go on smoothly, I think the hardware included works well and they should go on smoothly. Think of the nuts as lock nuts, they are corse threaded and do not go on smoothly, this is done to keep them secure and not subject to loosen over time. You will need a wrench or crescent to tighten them, it will take some effort and can be awkward, and you will need a good screwdriver that fills the slot since it will take some force to tighten them properly. There is a The bottom is not perfect, but it is a bit rough, and what you would expect of a cast iron product. The total weight was more than 2 lbs. Keeping the food down on the pan is a good way to ensure long life. You will need to keep it seasoned, but if you want to use it without first washing it, you will need to season it every so often. There is a This does the job I wanted it to do, it will last a lifetime, the handle keeps cool in my useage, and it performs as expected, even if you leave it on a high heat for a long time. Good for your needs.
👤The press is advertised as a way to keep bacon from curling. The size of the press is too small to cover strips of bacon, so I'm not sure it is the best use of it. I used it to press and grill Cuban sandwiches. I have a nice panini press which is used a lot, but it has elevated grill sections so doesn't press the whole sandwich down as is preferred when pressing a Cuban sandwich. The bread should be pressed down and grilled. I had been using heavy sauce pans on top of the sandwich in a skillet, but it was too unstable. This item takes care of that issue. It's easy to press down while heating because it sits on top. Since I love Cuban sandwiches and use it often, it will be the only thing I use it for. Many reviewers had problems attaching the handle to the press because of screws that protruded too far from the bottom. I did not have those issues, the handle was easy to attach and there was no screw heads. It seems sturdy. Reviewers cited rust. I will keep this wiped off so as to minimize the risk of rust developing, since I only used this twice. The press works as I had hoped. The handle didn't get too hot to hold at all and didn't need a pot holder. I'm happy I bought it.
Cast iron is suitable for careful use with non-stick pans and can be washed in warm soapy water. Heavy cast iron construction. Fats from grilling meats are pressed by weight. There is a raised ridge pattern on the bottom. The meatiest burgers have a 7” diameter.
👤Yes, it does its job. I have only used mine three times and it is already rusting. I was scared of putting this close to food. I cleaned with water and put it in a dry place so I don't know what's going on.
👤This item has a metal grip which gets very hot when used. Does an engineering degree tell you that this is bad design? I replaced the metal handle with a piece of wooden dowel from Home Depot after I used it for the first time. It has a small hole in the press plate that could be used for a temperature sensor. It doesn't burn my hand with use, but it seems dumb.
👤I initially had reservations about getting Chinese manufactured cast iron cookware due to the lead scandals, but after doing some research I found that the melting point of lead is well under that of iron, so it's not a problem for anyone. The grill press is a good size to work with my Lodge skillet, it leaves some fancy looking stripes on the food when cooking, and I've been able to make very flat grilled cheese sandwhiches with far easier clean up than any sandwhich press could hope to achieve. The screw securing the handle could be tightened. Overall, I am very pleased with this.
👤I was dismayed when the press rusted. I didn't know I was supposed to season it with oil first and never let water sit on it. The water should be wiped off immediately. It is easy to find directions for seasoning cast iron. I had to use a wire brush to get rid of any rust on my griddle press after soaking it in a solution of water and white vinegar for an hour. The grill press should not have rust issues for those who season it first.
👤I wish we had gotten a bigger one. This thing is great. The bacon is cooked more evenly. We use non-stick tin foil to cover the bottom of ours, so we don't have to clean it.
👤Poorly made. You would think that a simple cast iron press would be easy to use. The handle is made of cheap wood and painted over with a black paint that stains your palm. There is a The screws holding the wood handle in place are cheap. The kind you find in your computer case. A higher quality handle would use flush bolts and rod that connect from one side of the handle to the next.
👤A great tool for cooking. I bought the Charcoal Companion to use as a press to make paninis in my grill pan. I was excited to try the press because it was difficult to fit my small skillet. I decided to make a sandwich out of chicken. It would not make the ridges I wanted, but it did squash the panini. The grill press was not hot when it contacted the bread. I wanted to see if the ridged press would heat up on the induction cooktop. It did! I heated my ridged cast iron pan on one burner and put the grill press on the other. When I decided the temperature was right, I heated on my stove. I put the grill on top of the skillet. Viola! It was a perfect ridged panini. I did the same thing as I did the cast iron skillet, brush the grill press with oil before putting it on the burner. I buttered the outsides of my sandwich. I got an authentic panini. I don't use white or wheat bread. I slice my bread from my supermarke. I don't think regular sliced bread would hold up.
Use and care. Before use, coat the press with vegetable oil and place it in a fry pan for 20 minutes. Dry thoroughly by hand-wash in hot water. The grill press weight speeds up your cooking time for steaks, burgers, salmon, bacon, and prevents bacon or ham from curling. The griddle press made of 304 steel is easy to clean and non-toxic. Laser welded, no bolts. The wooden handles of the bacon press keep it cool. The Burger Smasher is 7 inches in diameter and can stop oil splatter when used in a frying pan. The meat press has a sturdy plate that will not warp, and the product is the right weight to prevent steak or salmon from curling.
👤It was broken when I opened it. It was a poor weld, almost no one welded it. I can fix the problem with my own welds, rather than having to ship it back. I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't broken because the handle is not welded to the bottom and will break eventually if pushed on.
👤This item was very disappointing. I did not write a negative review on Amazon but I felt compelled to do so with this purchase. The metal handle broke after only one use. It looks like it wasn't properly welded. I decided to pay more for a better product. I don't think you should spend your money on this item.
👤The smasher is a good weight and size, but there are some fatal flaws. The handle was made so poorly that the wood broke and fell apart on its first use. It is a really poor design. The texture of the metal on the smashing surface is the second issue. It is ridged, which is the opposite of what I want when applying pressure and wanting the meat to stick to the griddle, but for the smasher to easily slide away from the meat. On one of my burgers, the grip caused a portion of the meat to stick to the smasher and pull away from the rest of the patty on the griddle. I would have kept the smasher if it weren't for the 2 issues. I liked the feel of it.
👤I was a little hesitant to buy this piece of gear, without a lot of reviews or referrals. After researching a lot of different ways to "smash" your burgers on a griddle, this is probably the best single tool you can buy if you want a mixture of flexibility and ease-of-use. This thing is built. It's like 4 pounds and it's going to last a long time. Steak Weights are the most similar to this, but it's just easier because it's circular, like your burger patties are going to be. You don't have to worry about smoothing out the edges of a smashed patty like you do with the rectangular steak presses/weights. Most of the "burger/ bacon presses" have a "lip" that prevents you from fully pressing a burger patty to your desired thickness. A lot of bacon presses don't have the lip, but instead have some kind of wavy "ridges" instead. I've been using this for a couple weeks now, and am pretty confident that I found the right tool to use. You'll be able to make griddle burgers with ease if you combine a nice 5 or 6-inch wide spatula.
👤Stop searching. Buy this. You think you want cast iron for Smash Burgers. I did as well. There is a You don't want cast iron. You want this. I promise. I love cast iron cookware. I don't mind the cast iron cooking process. This is a better option. There is a The bottom is flat. You have total control over how flat your burgers are. I overdid it and got the patties so thin that they broke apart. Lesson learned, might need to ease up a bit. Most of the cast iron presses I found have a ridged bottom or a lip around the edge, which limits how thin you can make the burger. You don't want either of those. There is a It's also round. Nothing spills out of the narrower side of a rectangular press when you use that for a burger press. The smaller model is big enough for a standard smash burger. Depending on the type of griddle you are using, you may not want it any bigger. Your call. There is a This press is large. If you want to use it as a bacon press, you don't need to worry about the weight. If you need to clean up after yourself, you can use the steel. The steel doesn't stick to the raw burgers and only needs a bit of a rinse once it's done, because I forgot to put parchment paper over the burgers before. Cleaning, seasoning and storing the cast-iron version are not laboring things. Throw this in a drawer of your outdoor kitchen and it will be ready to use the next time. There is a It's more expensive than other models. It will be the last one you buy if you get it right the first time. You will use it quite a bit during your outdoor cooking months once you realize that you can make better burgers at home than you ever got from your favorite burger place. They are terrific. It pays for itself quickly. I have said my peace. You can make great cheeseburgers for your friends.
It is easy to use and clean; wash your hands with warm soapy water. It is possible to make cast iron for pressing out unwanted fats. Grill marks are produced by thick grooves. The handle is stay-cool for a safe grip. Cooks both sides of meat.
👤I was really looking forward to this. I got a bad impression when I opened the box. The packaging was slightly ripped and there was Rust on the side of it. As I opened the box, I saw this. I received it in the mail today. There is a gap between the handle and the iron and the screw on the same side is loose. The handle is not firm when you push it down. It looks like the cast iron is built well. I did not get a good item when I ordered it. I want to show the flaws in the photos. It seems to be a good cast iron. I am not looking forward to using it because of the issues that come out of the box.
👤I thought the handle was supposed to be stationary when I got the press. When I first picked it up, it swung and burned my arm. The manufacturer needs to work on this because I addedwashers to make the fit tight rather than returning it. Pictures of my arm were attached.
👤I don't really like it, but I should give it 5 stars. It does what it should and I like it a lot. The construction is the best I could find. There is a The handle doesn't get hot. The hole for the thermometer is a waste. I can't see people using it. It's a hole to let juices flow through and make a mess. I can't think of a situation where this hole would be valuable. There is a I'm not sure I like it, but it's not a big deal. Would prefer a flatter surface. There is a It's the right size, fits pans better than any of the rectangular ones I initially sought, and works really well without burning your hand. There is a I would buy it again if I lost it. It's the same thing. It's not a good thing It's not a good thing It's the same thing. Update is what it is. It's not a good thing It's not a good thing It's not a good thing The grid/grate on the bottom is more useful than first thought. If this were flat or smaller grids, the grease would run down onto the stove top when I took it out of the pan. This doesn't happen because of the ridges in the grate. There is a This is a big problem when reading other reviews. Not here. I was bumped from 4.5 to 4.0 stars. Plug the T hole and we'll have a full 5.0.
👤We used the brick for various cooking techniques before buying the iron press. We saw this press on a cooking show and thought it looked better and less Ghetto. This is the best grill press we have ever purchased. It was very well made and heavy duty. We use this for making sourdough bread sandwiches. The Press is less than 100 BU. The cast iron press is the best value we have tried. If we don't like press, we give it to someone else. I will buy for Christmas presents for this press, which is staying here.

With this specially crafted 3 lbs press the next bacon, steak or sandwich you cook will sear evenly, eliminating raw or overcooked sections. Sized to fit almost any area you cook in. Food grade press is 100% heavy duty. Other presses use harmful chemicals in their food-grade iron cookware. The Bellman bacon press is the most durable cooking tool you can use. For a short time, apply the equalized 3 lbs pressure to your food. You should smile when you remove it. It can be shared with loved ones or left to yourself. Think safe, act safe, and cook safe. 👤This is a good bacon press. I've wanted one for a long time and had to choose between a small rectangular one and a large round press. Every slice of bacon gets pressed because it fills my entire skillet. The bacon is cooked faster by the press. It would be great as a sandwich press or grill. It does get hot, and the handle is wooden, so it gets hot as well, so you need a hot pad to handle it, but that would be the same as with any of the other presses I looked at. I read the one star ratings to see the negative comments, and I have to say that anyone who puts a cast iron utensil in the dishwasher is a total idiot and should not be allowed to own good cookware.
👤Wow! I was impressed with the product before opening it. The quality of the product inside and the pride that the company has in their product are two things that the quality of packaging can tell you. Nope, doesn't matter at all. Warpage is the first thing you look for when buying cast iron, followed by large rough "pores" (indicating poor material quality, or bad casting), and there was nothing here. The casting is perfect! Now that you have finished season, you are good to go. What? You have never used cast iron before? Don't worry, look on the side of the box and follow the directions. 👤I have used my cast iron bacon press twice. My cast iron pan is included. It was used as a bacon press and a sausage press. In both instances, it worked well. The sausages would have been cooked differently without the press. The bacon was cooked more evenly. I was surprised that the press made a difference. There is a The press is made of cast iron. 👤I bought this and it didn't get a lot of reviews. I had to assume how it was made. They use rivets to attach the handle and then the rivets are ground and sanded down on the flat side to make it flush. The handle won't roll like some of the others, it seems well made. It's light but large enough to make smash burgers, but not to use as a bacon press. There is a It was easy to clean and show no signs of rust, but I think it was because I dried it right away.

It makes the burger flat and cooks in about 1 minute on the other side, and is worth the investment as it puts the right amount of pressure on the burger.
👤Product arrived on time and was great. The product is sturdy and easy to clean. The price is a great deal.
👤The Smash Burger Press is nice looking and solid. I was initially looking for a cast iron version for the extra weight factor, but after using thestainless steel version tonight, I realized that it was not a real factor at all. It's contrary to some of my research. The unit did a great job of pressing the beef patty down into an ultra thin format. There is a The meat and cheese did not stick to the handle or grip and it is quite comfortable. I used to use parchment paper, but now I don't. To clean too! There is a I would have preferred a round profile to the base so that it could maneuver better within the confines of a large pan. It has rounded corners, unlike some of the competitive products. The price is a bit higher than I wanted, but it's worth it to have a good solid working tool that will last and not rust.
👤The product is not what you think it is.
👤It's perfect for making a thin burger patty.
