Steak weight press is an ideal gift for loved ones with a penchant for cooking, for all festive and non-festival occasions. The steak iron press has a customer satisfaction guarantee. It's a great solution for home or commercial kitchens to gain better heat penetration on thicker cuts of meat. The steak weight by Winco has a sturdy construction and is great for comfort. The patty press is made of high-quality 18/8 steel and can be stacked/nested together for heavier weight. The handle is heat- resistant up to 450F and has a red sleeve. The steel press can be used on many grill-cooked items. The steak weight is designed to help the griller speed up the process of cooking meat and is 4 x 7 inches.
👤A flat, non-stick weight for bacon that is as long as a slice of bacon is what I want. I got this instead of the other way around. I'm not sure why it's hard to find what I'm looking for, but this seemed to be the best thing. It is hard to clean because of no ridges or rough surfaces. It can't be wiped clean easily because it's not non-intimidating. It's heavy enough to weigh bacon down. It isn't long enough to cover the ends of the strips. I like that it can be placed in the corner of the skillet when not in use. It is pricey for what it is, but I know that the material cost of the steel is high. Maybe someday I will find a bacon press. I'll be using this until then.
👤I don't regret buying this product, but I do have one concern. One side is heavier than the other. The weight is on one side and presses on whatever you are cooking. There is a This isn't a big deal for my food, but it's affecting my steaks, pork chops, etc. There is a They need to redesign it to a balanced shape in order to get it to 5 stars.
👤The fried egg might weigh less than the meat. There is a Try another product with more weight.
👤I bought a cast iron one that requires careful cleaning and reseasoning after each use of the press. This one is made of red and black material. I washed it in the dishwasher. It was perfect. I am giving the cast iron one up and keeping the one that is the same weight. It works perfectly.
👤I wanted to make smash burgers on my gas grill, so I was looking for a burger press that didn't have ridges. I use the press to smash my burger patties down. Burgers come out thin with a nice crisp outer crust. It's great for making double cheeseburgers. I use it to cook on the grill. The Winco works well for both burgers and paninis. It would be a great gift for the grill enthusiast.
👤It doesn't get ruined in the dishwasher. It's heavy enough to hold the bacon strips. There were no wooden handles to bleach out and crack. Despite the grease splatters, it doesn't get too hot or slippery to handle. You want to order this one. Trust me.
👤Love it. It's easy to stack stuff in the kitchen, but it's difficult to clean. It's a great way to crush garlic, smash and weight smashburgers. The handle makes the pan less hot.
👤A 7 lbs. is in our possession. You have to remove the cast iron and re season it. The old girl was having a hard time using a class top stove. It's nice to put it in the dishwasher. We use it twice a month.
👤The design is neat and functional.
👤Likes it; dislikes it.
It's perfect size and safe. Material-- There are 2 mats in the set, which are 47 inches and 17 inches in width. The KMAT kitchen mats are made of premium material that is odor-free, latex-free, and phathalate-free. Premium strength material is used to build the mats to ensure they will keep their shape even with extended and heavy use. Iron construction is CAST IRON CONSTRUCTION. The cast iron press is 8 pounds. The wooden handle has a stylish touch. HEALTHY GRILLING Excess fat and oils from meats should be pressed out. RILL MARKS: Grill marks can be added to any meat. Great for salads. You can make delicious sandwiches on the griddle. Easy clean up. After washing, wash and dry your hands.
👤The smash burger press was purchased by me. The ridges on the sides would make this a perfect product. It is useless for thin smash burgers. It makes it so you can only get a small patty. Returning it.
👤Excellent press. It needs to be seasoned. It wasn't season it well. Don't believe the reviews that say it's rusty. Unless you dry it with a towel or cloth, it is cast iron. You cannot leave cast iron to dry. Water and a sponge is the proper cleaning method. Kosher salt can be used to scrub. You will never have a rust issue if you rinse and towel dry. This is a heavy press and well built. It isn't a griswold so don't expect the best but a great press.
👤I have two issues with this model, being a relatively simple product with no real fail points. One of them being my fault mostly for not measuring exactly, but also an oversight. The press is too long to fit in a skillet. There's just barely enough of a lip that the press doesn't fit flat on the standard cast iron 2 pack of LL skillets. I've thought about using a torch to round the edges. There is a The wood handle is carved and fitted in a way that it rotates. I didn't find anything in the description that said this was a feature, but finishing a steak with the handle pressed firmly to catch the edge of the iron is unpleasant.
👤We've used this many times for homemade smashburgers, and this does the job. I cover the meatballs with wax paper and then press down on them to make them metal on metal. It is easier if the meat is not in the fridge. There is a For comparison, an audio cd is just over 4. I think the depth is where it needs to be. If I use 1/3lb of beef, they shrink up while cooking, but if I stick with 1/3lb, this tool spreads it out nice, wide, and thin. I use a lean ground chuck. There is a The burger will stick to a seasoned griddle if done right. The first flip will require a wide, chiseled spatula.
👤This needs to be straight on the bottom. This is not a smasher. There is a The space under the patties isn't small enough to smash them. If you want regular burgers, but want a smashburger with a crisp crust, you have to be able to smash it closer to half the thickness that this press allows.
👤There is a conspiracy. There is a hamburger buns got smaller as burger patties got bigger. I can buy 8oz. All the hamburger buns are about 3 1/2. I wanted to make big burgers. I didn't want a big patty. There is a This is it! The cast iron is 6+ inches across. The winner. Wonder makes jumbo buns.
👤The kit was in a box. The cast iron press has substance to it and is heavy with an inner diameter of about 6 inches. The spatula is made of good quality steel. The quality of the steel used in the shaker is good. It will make burger seasoning easier. The wax papers look and feel good, with a good amount of wax on them to prevent burgers from sticking during the flattening process. A well made and affordable product from Cuisinart. Can't wait to try it on the grill.
The original Smashburger tool is perfect for Paleo and Keto Diets. Winco products are made to meet the high demands of a kitchen. Winco has a wide range of products. Winco products are used by many industry experts.
👤I think it would be perfect if the weight had its corners rounded off. It wouldn't fit into my skillet completely. Because of the square corners. The cast iron skillet was the reason I had to break it out. I wanted to see if this weight would improve the taste of the bacon I bought at the store, but alas it can't improve the appearance of cheap bacon. It is cheap. It works well on burgers. I don't have a grill. I can't comment on that, but for the inside skillets, 12 or larger. It works well. I'm wondering if the "round" version would work better for the 10" skillet that I use the most. Hmm...
👤The size and weight were perfect. It makes a great sandwich. I haven't tried cooking a steak or chicken breast with it yet. I wrapped it in foil to make it easier to clean.
👤I didn't use this and it got a bit of water on it when I brought it outside, which quickly rusted. It was difficult to get the rust off, but it works great for burgers, steak, and other meats on the grill. It's great for keeping the middles from mushrooming and round steak cuts.
👤It is cast iron, but doesn't seem to be cured well, so it is hard to clean. I can't bake it to cure because it has a wooden handle. I don't like using it because it's too much work.
👤Good quality. It is necessary to clean by hand and then coat in olive oil. It doesn't rust. When nothe is used, keep mine in the oven. When backing in the oven, take it out.
👤I'm not an expert, but this seems like a decent weight. It's hard to find one that isn't iron, but it does its job if you take care of it. I clean it immediately after I use it and then wrap it in a plastic wrap for preservation. It's done well so far. No complaints!
👤The Food Network is showing too much TV with the Pandemic. We were eager to try this on our burgers because we are always looking at the tools they use. My husband likes using this tool. It's just one more thing, right? It's worth the money. There is a The family can be brought together by cooking and eating.
👤This is the second time I've purchased these presses. I use them all the time for cooking bacon, sausage, pork and toasting sandwiches, and I want to make sure the item is in full contact with the bottom of the pan. The wood handles stay cool but be careful not to touch the metal.
👤You need to be careful. Don't just throw it in the dishwasher and then run to your computer and complain that it doesn't work. It is cast iron. After washing it, you need to season it. The grill marks on the bottom are in a small grid pattern, so I give it 4 stars. I wanted grill marks.
The best way to cook bacon is to take control of the bacon on the pan or grill. With this specially crafted 3 lbs press the next bacon, steak or sandwich you cook will sear evenly, eliminating raw or overcooked sections. Sized to fit almost any area you cook in. Food grade press is 100% heavy duty. Other presses use harmful chemicals in their food-grade iron cookware. The Bellman bacon press is the most durable cooking tool you can use. The press can be seasoned like cast-iron skillets to create a non-stick surface. Equal weight distribution for perfect grill marks is done every time. Pre-warm your Bellman bacon press. For a short time, apply the equalized 3 lbs pressure to your food. You should smile when you remove it. It can be shared with loved ones or left to yourself. Think safe, act safe, and cook safe. Lift without fear or need of gloves. The press was manufactured with a wood handle. Because you only have two hands. Less time cooking. EATING: Are people coming over and want bacon that is consistent and delicious? The signature iron grill press from Bellemain is 8.25 inches in diameter and presses down on your favorite thin meats to make them cook faster and more evenly.
👤This is a good bacon press. I've wanted one for a long time and had to choose between a small rectangular one and a large round press. Every slice of bacon gets pressed because it fills my entire skillet. The bacon is cooked faster by the press. It would be great as a sandwich press or grill. It does get hot, and the handle is wooden, so it gets hot as well, so you need a hot pad to handle it, but that would be the same as with any of the other presses I looked at. I read the one star ratings to see the negative comments, and I have to say that anyone who puts a cast iron utensil in the dishwasher is a total idiot and should not be allowed to own good cookware.
👤Wow! I was impressed with the product before opening it. The quality of the product inside and the pride that the company has in their product are two things that the quality of packaging can tell you. The box was sturdy, well designed and had concise seasoning instructions printed on the side. As a collector and daily user of cast iron, I felt like a kid in a candy shop when I pulled theBellemain Cast Iron Bacon Press from its box. The press is 8 1/2 inches around and weighs in at 2 lbs 12oz. It felt like the press had been made for me. Evenly balanced, with a 1 inch dowel handle, secured with 1 inch screws. The press is very comfortable in your hand. You must be wondering, what more can this guy say, it's just a bacon press? The best is yet to come. When it comes to ironware, it is all about the casting. No matter what, this is a great looking press, with its well finished wooden handle, beautifully cast stars, scroll work, and those big bold words "Baccon Press", not to mention that gorgeous plump pig perfectly centered with its curly Q tail, none of that matters. Nope, doesn't matter at all. Warpage is the first thing you look for when buying cast iron, followed by large rough "pores" (indicating poor material quality, or bad casting), and there was nothing here. The casting is perfect! Now that you have finished season, you are good to go. What? You have never used cast iron before? Don't worry, look on the side of the box and follow the directions. A piece of cast iron will last forever if you are seasoned.
👤I had to use it immediately after I received it. It's great for cooking any type of meat. I would never have thought to use a round one instead of a square one, but it works so well in my cast iron skillets. If you're looking for a cast iron press, you'll love this one.
👤I have used my cast iron bacon press twice. My cast iron pan is included. It was used as a bacon press and a sausage press. In both instances, it worked well. The sausages would have been cooked differently without the press. The bacon was cooked more evenly. I was surprised that the press made a difference. There is a The press is made of cast iron. I expect it to last a long time. It's finished, no rough metal anywhere. It's the right size and weight for a C.I pan. The coating appears to be non-stick. If you have a room, it's attractive enough to keep out.
It's great for induction cooktops. The item shape is rectangular. Cooking time for thin meats and bacon can be halved from 8 to 4 minutes. Measures 8 3 x 4 4 and weighs 2 15 lbs. It is one of the best grill accessories and can be used for flattening bacon and squeezing fat from meats. Ready-to-use Seasoning 100% Non-GMO Flaxseed Oil does not contain PFOAs that can be harmful to your health. A heavy duty meat press is great for bacon beef burgers poultry flatbreads grilled sandwiches and more.
👤This is my first grill press. Many professional chefs recommend the use of a press to ensure that the meat gets cooked evenly, as I am in search of the perfect steak. I am happy with this press. The size is perfect for a Lodge Cast Iron pan. It has a lot of weight in order to get the job done. The handles can be removed for re-seasoning it in the oven, which is nice because you could put a new handle on it if it ever breaks. It is easy to maintain. It works well for items other than cooking meat. My daughter uses it to cook. The cheese gets melted before the tortilla gets burned. Did you ever notice that these are used in restaurant kitchens? I now know why. This product is made in Columbia and comes pre-seasoned. The press doesn't look like Chinese pot metal. It is wrapped in a cardboard sleeve with instructions and a warranty printed on it. It has a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. I would use caution with this in a small area. We have a Teflon coated skillet. If you're not careful, you could still scratch the surface if the edges are not sharp. I would appreciate a vote if you find the review and pics helpful. Thanks!
👤I always look at the negative reviews before buying. I was amazed at the negative reviews. I can't say if these people have a clue about how to manage cast iron. Thewrap indicated that they were seasoned and that they were intact. The bottom has a smooth surface which is nice to keep from sliding around on the food, but not so bad that it will be hard to clean. I put the bottom on the stove to dry after giving them a quick scrub. I don't think the seasoning is made from flax seed, so those wanting high heat capability may want to strip and then re-season with the oil. It should be obvious that the wood handles need to be removed first. The are held with two screws. A well-made CAST IRON product which will press paninis will keep your bacon flat. They should be cared for like any other piece of cast iron.
👤The cast iron for Victoria is gorgeous. This is not the last item I have. It is cast with clean detail and smooth unpitted surfaces. The bottom of the press is very easy to clean and has a waffle-like texture. If you want to place the press in the oven to re-season, you can remove the wooden handle with two screws. If you love cast iron cookware you will love this press. They make the best Tortilla presses. It is ready to use on arrival with just a wash, scrub and dry.
👤I don't like that it was cast iron and broke in the mail.
👤I like the device. If you frequently cook big breakfasts with lots of bacon, you should get two if you want to complain, as this device works best with about 3 strips at a time.
Less time cooking, more time eating, got people coming over, and want perfect, consistent bacon, quick? The jim beam signature iron grill press makes it easier to cook thin meats and makes them cook faster and more evenly. The grill bacon press can be used on many surfaces. It can be used on a variety of cooking equipment. The press weight is. It will make your meat cook faster by removing unwanted fats from it. It helps to prevent bacon from curling. It will help the meat cook more evenly. There is no need to keep seasoning anymore, because their coating will save you a lot of time. You won't have to worry about rust formation. You can clean it with any dish washing soap and no need to make sure it is completely dry after washing, unlike ones that are only seasoned. You can use your other kitchen utensils to dry it. See the product description for more benefits. Press and lift with no fear or need of gloves. Their press has a wooden handle. At "great prices", they offer you "top quality products". They work hard to make sure that their products are the best on the market, and hope that they meet your satisfaction.
👤They are very good. I don't use any of the press I have ever bought. These work well and don't bother you. Thank you so much!
👤The rust is out of the equation. The combination of cast iron and bacon press is a winner.
👤Well made and has good weight. The coating is ceramic. There is a The handle could be a quarter inch taller. I grabbed the handle and my knuckle got hot. The clearance isn't enough. The wooden handle gets very hot, not sure why. I wouldn't get this if I had large hands. I wrap a small towel on the handle to sear it.
👤My husband likes this. He used it for the first time and was amazed at how quickly and evenly the bacon was cooked. I said that the clean-up was easy.
👤I used the press to grill the cutlets in my grill pan. The cutlets had great grill marks. I had restaurant quality food in my kitchen. It is the perfect size for my pan and it has a nice weight, would definitely recommend it to others.
👤The product is too expensive. There are bumps on it that look like they came from a furnace. If you don't know what it is, it's a waste of time. Can't trust what they are. Returning.
👤I'm used to pressing burgers with flat spatulas, which is fine, but often can be broken up or stuck to the spatula, and only pressing with heat on one side. The ridges keep a grill effect and can be heated up and crush burger flat. I've been cooking with American Wagyu that is very fat. I need to get rid of the fat. This worked well. Good weight, wooden handle, Rust-proof... Everything I need. I'm sure it will be easy to make bacon but burgers are A+.
👤I got this for my kitchen, a real quality grill press, heavy duty, love the part that it's enameled, did a great job, and last of all the great price.
👤This item has been used many times by me. It was easy to clean and I was very pleased with the performance.
👤I recommend this bacon press because it's easy to clean up and it's easy to cook.
The cast iron press is 9 x 4.5". The weight is 2.86 lbs. The product is useful for a long time. This bacon press has a solid wood handle, which makes it more comfortable to use. Excess fat won't invade the surface of the product, so you can clean it easily. Excess fat can be removed from the food when you press it. Making the food more delicious is one way to make it healthier. It is very hot. The bacon press will help to prevent bacon from curling. It can be used with various cast iron frying pans to make it more fun to cook with. Grill Press can be used on grills, griddles, and on gas, electric, and induction stoves. You can cook in the kitchen or on the grill. They will serve until you are satisfied, so please contact them if you have a problem.
👤The decision was made by some aspects of the weight. The size allows it to fit in the bottom of the pan. It's a perfect fit for a range-top pan. It was one of the heavier ones that I looked at. It works well for my uses, like cooking bacon or pressing excess water from buffalo mozzarella. It comes pre-seasoned, but I suggest coating it with some low smoke-point oil, like olive oil, and placing it over a very low flame on the stove until it starts to smoke. Allow the burner to cool down slowly. The metallic smell/taste will be gone if the seasoning is well seasoned and non-stick. There is a The handle is cheap and works, but can easily be replaced with a larger piece of wood. The ribbed bottom surface has a nice feature that makes it different from the smooth surfaced weights I used to use as a restaurant cook. There is a This is made of cast iron. You need to know how to care for cookware. To preserve the seasoned surface, wash it gently, detergent only, dry it immediately, and rub the cooking oil over it before putting it away in a dry place. The reviewers probably overlooked this aspect of cast iron cookware care.
👤I read some of the negative reviews and decided not to take them into account. When I got the press, I immediately washed it in warm water and put it in my iron skillet and turned it on. It takes less than 5 minutes to dry. I used the press part to turn it into the skillet. I didn't use it for a week. I checked the press when I pulled out the pan. It was perfect! No rust, no nothing. I used it, did the same thing, and kept it. I am very happy with this press and glad I bought it after many years of curled bacon.
👤The press is light. It could use more mass. The finish on the wood was rough and the handle is a good thing. Nothing was done with steel wool. There was some rust on the iron. This should last a long time after cleaning and seasoning. There is a The handle was attached to the base in a different way than the star. The unfinished end grain of the wood would fail the screws if they were to be washed as many do with cast iron. This is a low cost item and threaded end caps would increase the cost, and it is understand why they are not present, the endgrain could have been sealed with the same finish that was applied to the rest of the handle.
👤It's kind of a pain to season this thing on your own. Most of the cast iron I've purchased was pre-seasoned, so I didn't pay attention to that detail. It's hard to screw up a chunk of iron with a handle, so no other complaints.
👤I like the weight of this product but the ribs on the underside make grilling marks. It doesn't force your meat to cook in a pan. The ribs are about 1/2 inch apart. I thought this was a flat press that I could use to keep bacon from curling up. If you wanted to put grill marks on the meat, it would be good to heat it.
It is easy to use and clean; wash your hands with warm soapy water. It is possible to make cast iron for pressing out unwanted fats. Grill marks are produced by thick grooves. The handle is stay-cool for a safe grip. Cooks both sides of meat.
👤I was really looking forward to this. I got a bad impression when I opened the box. The packaging was slightly ripped and there was Rust on the side of it. As I opened the box, I saw this. I received it in the mail today. There is a gap between the handle and the iron and the screw on the same side is loose. The handle is not firm when you push it down. It looks like the cast iron is built well. I did not get a good item when I ordered it. I want to show the flaws in the photos. It seems to be a good cast iron. I am not looking forward to using it because of the issues that come out of the box.
👤I thought the handle was supposed to be stationary when I got the press. When I first picked it up, it swung and burned my arm. The manufacturer needs to work on this because I addedwashers to make the fit tight rather than returning it. Pictures of my arm were attached.
👤I don't really like it, but I should give it 5 stars. It does what it should and I like it a lot. The construction is the best I could find. There is a The handle doesn't get hot. The hole for the thermometer is a waste. I can't see people using it. It's a hole to let juices flow through and make a mess. I can't think of a situation where this hole would be valuable. There is a I'm not sure I like it, but it's not a big deal. Would prefer a flatter surface. There is a It's the right size, fits pans better than any of the rectangular ones I initially sought, and works really well without burning your hand. There is a I would buy it again if I lost it. It's the same thing. It's not a good thing It's not a good thing It's the same thing. Update is what it is. It's not a good thing It's not a good thing It's not a good thing The grid/grate on the bottom is more useful than first thought. If this were flat or smaller grids, the grease would run down onto the stove top when I took it out of the pan. This doesn't happen because of the ridges in the grate. There is a This is a big problem when reading other reviews. Not here. I was bumped from 4.5 to 4.0 stars. Plug the T hole and we'll have a full 5.0.
👤We used the brick for various cooking techniques before buying the iron press. We saw this press on a cooking show and thought it looked better and less Ghetto. This is the best grill press we have ever purchased. It was very well made and heavy duty. We use this for making sourdough bread sandwiches. The Press is less than 100 BU. The cast iron press is the best value we have tried. If we don't like press, we give it to someone else. I will buy for Christmas presents for this press, which is staying here.
Norpro Cast Iron bacon press flattens bacon to prevent it from curling and shrinking so it cooks evenly with press out excess fat and oils from meats. The wooden handle provides a comfortable grip with a stylish touch. It is easy to coat the fry pan and bacon press with cooking oil before use. Great for salads. Use as a steak weight. On the grill or on the stovetop. Iron's effects on heat are still being felt. It's suitable for use with non-stick pans, but only if you wash it in warm soapy water.
👤The wooden handle feels cheap and you need a hot pad to lift it. Not a deal-breaker for the price I paid. I like the channeled base over the flat ones. It cuts down on grease popping. I ordered this one because it fit the pan that I use for bacon. This bacon press is recommended by me.
👤We use this in a skillet, but not on a grill, for hamburgers, but not for bacon. The larger size is appreciated, and it's not made in the USA, but it is well made and looks nice. It's large enough to hold the center of three 1/3 lbs patties. We're very happy with it.
👤My son-in-law loves to make Smash Burgers. I bought it for him. My husband wants one for bacon in the frying pan now that he has seen it. I'll be ordering more.
👤Excellent quality. If you clean and dry it, it won't rust. I have a gas stove. I put it on a burner and heat it up to get rid of the water after cleaning.
👤It worked well to flatten out the burgers. It's not easy to wash. It is manageable. A nice accessory to add to the grill.
👤I use this press in my cast iron fry pan and on my barbecue.
👤Well priced addition to my skillet tools! It works and is the perfect size.
👤I will live with the loose handle. It's perfect for burgers.
The cheese melting dome has a diameter of 12inch and a height of 5.5inch, and it has a handle made of steel. Cast Iron Steak and bacon press is a must in all kitchens. You can speed up your cooking time on steaks, burgers, meats, bacon, quaesadillas and more. The cooking time can be reduced by half by thickness of meat. The wooden handle has a reliable cast iron construction. The grill mark on any meat will be left by the textured underside of this steak weight. The length is 8 1/2 inches and the width is 4 1/2 inches.
👤If you like bacon that is cooked perfectly, buy these. Lay out all your strips on your grill, place each press across 4 or 5 strips of bacon, move periodically pressing on where the bacon is curling or waving. If you give extra pressure here and there, your bacon will be the best you've ever eaten. The perfect temperature for my grill is 325 degrees F. The end product is worth it.
👤The wooden handle got hot and the metal started to rust the first time we used them. I put them over the stove burners to make sure they dried well.
👤I use the cast iron press to make burgers and bacon many times. I make sure to use Olive Oil to prevent it from rusting.
👤I was tired of making bacon that was not cooked evenly. The bacon is now cooks evenly and flat because of these things.
👤They aren't smooth. They have a texture pattern on the bottom that makes them hard to clean. They were covered with aluminum foil.
👤My husband uses these on his grill. He wanted them to cook bacon, sausage, etc. with, not steak! I have found them to be too small. The bottoms are not flat, which makes it difficult to clean, but he still uses them.
👤The bacon is kept flat by the weight. It was used to make a grilled cheese and ham sandwich. Will was worked for that as well.
👤Our cook loves this and we bought it for our restaurant.

The press can be seasoned like cast-iron skillets to create a non-stick surface. It can be used for many other foods. The steak weight is made of food-grade cast iron, which is healthy, safe, and resistant to rust, and has strong durability. It can be used for a long time. It has a unique texture design that can make your meat look professional. Less time cooking, more time eating, got people coming over, and want perfect, consistent bacon, quick? The jim beam signature iron grill press makes it easier to cook thin meats and makes them cook faster and more evenly.
👤It has a nice weight and does the job. However. After washing, the groves on the back are hard to dry. When you try to dry it off, it stays in the corners. There is a lot of rust in those channels after a few days of use. The groves on the back of my house are a pain to dry off, but they are what keep the water in it. It's not a deal breaker as the surface rust is on the back of the car where it's not being used. It will be difficult to remove the rust when trying to reseason because the channels are so narrow.
👤I was surprised by the quality. Lodge cast iron is what I usually stick to. Between good reviews and a great price point, I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. It is large enough to handle most steaks, but not large enough to handle most steaks. My husband likes the Jim Beam logo. He said that it makes it a manly tool. That's right! The Jim Beam steam cover was also purchased by me. It's a great set.
👤I now know why I couldn't find one of these at a second hand store.
👤I'm a big fan of CI. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this. I bought it at the store. Prepared and ready to go. I gave this to my guy because he asked for a few smaller things instead of a large gift. It's safe on the outdoor gas grill with the coil handle. The hamburgers will be great this summer. I will purchase another for myself if I didn't buy 2 at the price.
👤A lot of the others at the same price point looked cheap, but this is actually a quality piece of metal and iron. Don't forget to dry it before it's well seasoned or you'll be stuck trying to get the rust out from the grooves on top.
👤Excellent! It looks great and is perfect for its purpose. If I could cook as well as this works, I would knock them off the air. You need 1 of these if you own a flat top griddle. It makes all meals taste better.
👤It is very well made, but you have to watch for rust. Keep cooking oil in a container. I would buy it again.
👤I like this grill press the most because the handle is not wooden. It works well. I don't wash it with soap or water because it is cast iron and I let the grill cook everything off.
👤I love this press. The cast iron is heavy. I love the size of it and the quality of it. It works well in my cast iron frying pans, on the BBQ, and on the campsite fire pit. There is a I have heard other people complain that the top was getting rusty after washing. It's "Cast Iron" people. If you're going to get it wet, you have to sit it on an element and dry it out completely or it will rust. I give this purchase 5 stars.
