👤I would like to know how to set the alarm to alert me when the temp falls. I need to keep my meat in the oven. I don't want it to fall below 141l and I don't want it to go above 175l. When I set an alarm for 140, it goes off when it reaches 140. When it falls below 140, it won't alert me again. Can anyone tell me how to set it so it doesn't alert me when it's higher than 140? I know it can reach 140. Let us know when it's below 140. Nothing in the ap can tell me that at the top of the screen. It says it is capable of doing that. Heeelp! Let me know if you leave a review.
👤The app won't connect to it using an Apple device. The devices are less than a year old. The thermo is not connected to the app on the iPhone. The Note app doesn't see the thermo, but the phone's profile does. It's pointless to spend more time trying to connect something that isn't functional.
👤It was bought based on the price and the function. It was used on a pig roast. I put the probes into an ice bath and let them sit for 20 minutes. The temperature of ice water is 32 degrees F or 0 degrees C. It's difficult to cook when the readings are 118 F, 87 F, 68 F and 37 F. Anything far off. I wouldn't recommend this product.
👤This thing is a piece of junk, the temp that is read vary by which slot you plug the probe into. It was off by 25 degrees to itself and 35 degrees to other thermometers. I threw it away. Don't buy. There is a The Thermometer is easy to use, portable, and has 4 probes which are helpful when smoking meats. The only reason I dropped it was because the interface for the app was not my favorite and could be simpler to use. Otherwise works as it should.
👤If you didn't need the app, it worked great for the first couple weeks. It won't charge or turn on now that it has been taken care of. The app is terrible. The range only tells you the temperature. I will just read the display if I am close to the thermometer. It is worth it if you only need it for a short time.
👤As advertised and more. This is the best meat thermometer I have ever owned. It is easy to use even with many features. I like to cook a lot of different meats on my smoker once a week and keep it in portions for easy suppers. All of the food are on the grill at the same time. The four probes that read separately are very clever. There's no work. The alarm sounds when the meat reaches the desired temperature so I can remove it and allow the other meats to finish cooking. It's nice to be able to leave food on the smoker outside while I'm busy with other things. This is amazing.
It is dishwasher safe and the popcorn popper saves money when compared to using a bag of popcorn. To avoid water spots, you may want to wash by hand. Fast and accurate. The internal temp of food can be read within 3-6 seconds with the instant read thermometer. The digital food thermometer has a 5.3 inch food grade probe, which makes it easy to get too close to the hot food or surface. Lock function: Kitchen Thermometer can lock the current temperature; the reading won't change after pulling the temperature probe out of the meat; auto shut-off; batteries included. The instant read meat thermometer has a backlight display to let you see clearly while cooking. Digital Thermometer for cooking with temperature range of
👤Pros: -Accurately measured temperature using boiling water test - long metal probe for keeping hand away from flames - Cons: probe separated from handle and could not be re-attached
👤It is a piece of junk and you shouldn't buy it. When the steak was done to medium well, the temp read 65 degrees. I know how long it takes to get a steak done, so I am happy.
👤It's too early to report on this device. Take that into account when looking at my stars. The extra length of the probe keeps the grip away from the heat. It seems to be accurate when measuring room temperature and accurate when measuring meat temperature. It responds quickly. I'm writing because of their follow-up. If you register the device online, you will get a 3 year warranty. I have had meat thermometers that didn't last a season. This one is less expensive than the others. Time will tell about theDurability I have a warranty if anything goes wrong. I was so impressed with their customer support that I wrote a review. There is an update. It was not possible to read the temperature on the display because it was not working. I had a new thermometer in a few days after I reached out to customer support, and they stood by the warranty. Customer service is awesome and still an awesome product.
👤The back of the battery compartment was made ROUND. The back of the unit is ROUND so when you set it down with the display facing up, it keeps rolling over on its side. That is stupid. There is a It isn't as fast as I 888-276-5932s would suggest. It takes a little bit to get to the correct temperature. There is a Why do you use a tenth of a degree on a device that probably isn't accurate to 5 degrees F and is being used on meat that is 135 to 160 degrees? I don't care about the temperature of my steak. That's silly. I think candy makers should get a better thermometer than this one. I have nothing to say about that. There is a The back is rounded.
👤When I received it, it worked. I changed the batteries to see if it worked after not using it for a month. It didn't. The lock button can be switched on and off many times. It will not change off of the name.
👤I like to cook and I bought the thermopro to use when making candy and jelly in addition to the normal smoke and BBQ. The key to choosing the right measuring tip was that it has a very low mass, which is related to the speed of measurement. The fine tip gives an accurate reading in about 3 seconds because there is no large probe to heat up and stable. I can hold the grill lid with one hand and use the probe with a lighted display. I would recommend it to my friends. There is a Con: The probe is not designed to hang on the side of the pot, but it is long enough to be used quickly.
The batteries were included. This case is perfect for the ThermoPro TP20 / 08S / 07 Wireless Remote Digital Cooking Food Meat Thermometer. A super intuitive. The case is small and lightweight. 100% safe. Water resistance, shockproof and dustproof are required to protect your device. The device and accessories are sold separately. The material is black. DIMENSIONS Inner 10 L x 3.5 W 2.3 H is 3.3" wide.
👤Can say anything bad about this thing. I have been a griller that has bought the thermometer that you stick in each time you open the grill and wait to get a reading. I will turn on the smoker and leave the probes in to check the wireless sensor and wait for it to alert me. If you're like me, you'll probably want to grab some burn cream for your fingers because the handles of the probes get as hot as the grill itself. It's a good thing.
👤This is the case with the TP-20 / TP-08S Wireless Remote Digital Cooking Food Meat Thermometer. The lid has a compartment that is perfect for housing probes and prevents tangling of the probes' wires. There is a The TP-20 has a smaller sensor unit and a larger remote unit. The smaller unit has a wire contraption on the back that would be easy to break or get tangled with, and it's functional. That unit fit well in this case. Unless you want to keep the original packaging or make your own, it is far safer in this case. This case is an essential accessory for everyone else. I like the fact that this case can be changed. I can see the request for a thermometer being made for a cookout. The case keeps all the parts together. People are protected from the probes. The probes are not likely to bend. The pieces are likely to come home with me. One of the orange units is missing from the case. There are two possible small improvements. There is no place to write your name or phone number in the solid black case. You can add a tag. There are no slots for spare batteries. There is room in the pouch. Is this a good present? Yes. This case and the TP-02 sensor are ideal. It's easy to wrap them in different colors so different kids can give them different gifts. Two inexpensive gifts for a retirement party. What are the wedding gifts? Maybe. Amazon asked a few questions about this case. Is it accurate? This is not a review of the sensor unit. It is unratable. 2. Is it easy to use? Absolutely yes. 5 stars. 3. Is there value for money? 5 stars. This case already matches the temperature, so I would use my time to buy another one. 4. Amazon did not ask if it was Sturdy. It seems sturdy. In a couple years, ask me again. Please click the button if this review was helpful. Grill often. Be well.
👤I used this item for the first time a few days ago after purchasing it. This was to replace a probe that monitored both the grill temperature and the food temperature. I found it annoying that it would go off if I went over the preset setting, but it seems to be quite accurate. You can hit the taste button which will silence the alarm and it will go off again a minute or two later. It is short term. You can raise the temperature setting for the grill while you try to adjust the grill vents to not go over the temperature. It can be annoying. I understand why. I would want to know if my smoker was getting too hot. I was cooking. The buttons don't say probe one or probe two, so it's unclear how to switch back and forth between them. You have to go to the "mode" button to see the numbers change as you cycle. It sounds easy, but it has been a day or two since I broke out the directions. I forgot to switch back-and-forth and how to set the other settings for temperatures and types of meat, as well as how to do the preset. The labeling of the buttons could have been more clear. Why is the button saying taste? It's like sleeping on your alarm. It is a silent alert for a minute or two. It will come back and tell you to tend to it again. I like the product but it will take me a couple more times to get a handle on it. I bought a protective case that was recommended by Amazon and I like it very much. The case is nice but a little bulky for storage. I am an electronic musician. savvy The alarm was going to keep going off until I got the grill temperature under control, which is not a high-end grill, and I didn't know how to figure that out. It is acorn grill from Lowe's which works very well. I also have a smoker and grill. I can't wait to use the probe in the smoker as well.
The TP99 storage case is small and portable because it is the ideal size and weight to fit in a car and be easy to carry with the comfortable handle. Smoker Thermometer with 4 probes can simultaneously monitor up to 4 different kinds of meat. It is easy to identify which probe is inserted into what piece of meat with the color coated probe plug and corresponding color coated probe. 500 Feet long remote range: Wireless thermometer has next generation RF wireless technology to achieve extended range up to 500 feet and stronger signal strength through obstacles and walls, essential when monitoring meals at a long distance and guaranteeing to reach anywhere in your home or yard. A unique design of the transmitter allows for the use of the BBQ Thermometer without the receiver, perfect for those fast cooking meats like fish or steak in short distance. The digital meat thermometer for grill has probes with food grade steel and a mesh cable that can be used with any grill to make sure meat is cooked to the correct temperature. The food temperature is pre-synced. The Grilling Thermometer has a unique alarm mode that vibrates and turns on a flashing backlight on both the receiver and transmitter to inform you when the meat/bbq temperature reaches your setting; Never miss the perfect moment to take your meat off the heat. The batteries were included.
👤The temperature is read to the main unit much quicker than the igrill2. There is a One of the probes read on point. It's still in a good range. There is a I am not sure if it is a result of RF or if all units using RF are like this, but the 10s delay between the main unit and the remote screen irritates me. It does. The remote screen only shows readings for 10 seconds. The main unit's reading has already changed. It doesn't matter when using my offset smoker or Komado as temperatures don't change very much. There is a A good purchase. I am afraid of the price of the thermoworks. There is smoke. This is the max of your budget and you need more than 2 probes. Will serve the purpose you bought it for. The build is solid and easy to program. Quality seems to be the word for the probes. I like the length of the probes as I do a lot of big roasts and briskets. They would hate to keep it in the box when they launch a carry case. It will be used weekly. I will report back after a while.
👤Have smoked several items with the TP27. It is a great unit. Straight probes may be a negative for some people. The probes work well in my smoker. I wanted an angle probe in our vertical smoker. The straight probes were almost useless because of the short front to back distance of the Pit Boss Copperhead smoker. I will use my bent probes from one of the other smokers. The jacks used for the built in controllers are not the standard size. This one limitation is an amazing product.
👤This thing is fantastic. There is a learning curve but it is not difficult to master. This thing is the one to go with. The learning curve now... You have to go through a number of button presses to dial in the temp for each probe. The lack of pre programmed temps is disappointing but not enough to take a star away. It is as easy to program as riding a bike once you learn the sequence. I did not have to consult the instructions on my second smoke, I have done two smokes with this. The probes were temping. Which is acceptable to me. Quick access to either probe would be one of the changes that would take this over top. It would be even more user friendly if you could adjust from there. Adding the ability to turn off the alarm from the receiver would be great. Even though I disabled the alarm on the receiver, I could still hear the main units temp alarm going off. The only issue for this unit is that touch area where you would grab it. I can't remember how many times I grab it there and turn the light on and off. I'm pretty sure this will cause batteries to run down sooner than they should. Adding a light button would make an existing button dual function where it can turn the light on and off. The four probes for a BBQ guy is a game-changing addition to this unit. If they could only make this unit with some improvements and water proof for rainy days, then it would be the wireless Thermometer. This is a good buy and you will not be disappointed. There is a It's important. All of my reviews are bought by me. I don't get product to test. I will never do that. I want people to understand what they were meant to read. I give praise for a product that is due, but I will not tolerate a product that is not what it claims to be. The vast majority of products have positive reviews.
All stink-fighting good stuff is made of essential oils and other natural compounds. The instant reading thermometer has a high precision sensor and a 3.8 inch food grade probe. It's perfect for indoor outdoor cooking, grilling, BBQ and so on. The magnetic back and hook allow for convenient storage and easy to use. If the meat thermometer stays on for 10 minutes, it will auto shut off. The Grilling Thermometer has a backlight display to let you see clearly while cooking.
👤I saved up for a Thermapen and bought it for $100 because of the good reviews. I have used it for a long time and love it. I was looking for a travel Thermometer when I saw an instant one on sale at Amazon. I got it yesterday, after taking a chance. The new one is red. As soon as I got it. I wanted to see how fast and accurate I could be. I tried it with some bread coming out of the oven. The temp was the same within a second of each other. It was boiling water for my tea this morning. The temp was the same for the entire time. I don't know if it will last, but I'm happy.
👤I like America's Test Kitchen. They do a lot of testing and reviews of kitchen products. They had one of their reviews about a meat thermometer. Thermapen cost about $100. I am too steep for my budget. The owner of the Thermapen wrote a review about the differences between the Thermapen and the thermopro. They said their performance was the same. I went with the ThermoPro because of the price difference. I wasn't disappointed. It works great to read meat temperatures and hot oil temperatures. I would recommend it to anyone.
👤Hey, I'm out there. You get what you pay for. The metal probe/tube came uncrimped from the plastic base after 6 months. It worked well when it was complete. The fundamental cheapness of the product overcame my careful handling of it. Don't pay more and get a unit that won't break. When I tried to uninstall the probe, it didn't work. There are big numbers on the display.
👤I bought a separate one for baking on 6/30 after buying my first one. I was trying to take the temperature of my chicken and realized one column of ink was out. I pulled out my baking one because I thought my friend dropped it. The entire column of ink was gone. I'm the only one who uses that one. I know it wasn't dropped. It's pretty pathetic that both of them only lasted three months. It's not worth the money.
👤I liked the simplicity of use. It was quick. Multi angle helps a lot. I just completed my 3rd thermopro. One quit his job within a year. I bought 2 more because I still liked the function, and the 2nd and 3rd have all worked out. The batteries were changed but still no luck. The last one is off by a factor of 10 when compared to the other two. I wish I had kept the warranty info.
👤I wanted to use this to measure the internal temperature of the bread I bake. It has a nice thin temperature probe that helps to avoid large holes in the crust. There is a The probe is not accurate. It is about 10 degrees F. I verified this by boiling the water. There is no way to change the calibration. Baking at 10 degrees is significant. There is a Money was wasted.
The probes instantly read within 1-2s, 1.8F. Food grade steel is used in the 4 color-code probes. It is heat resistant to prolong service life. The 43 inches wire can hold up to 716F. 100% wire-free. No fuss. The first truly wireless meat thermometer. You can use the free app to monitor your cook. There are smart phones and tablets. The temperature of meat can be monitored by both internal and external temperature sensors. It's dishwasher safe. The Guided Cook System walks you through every step of the cooking process. You can set up custom notifications based on time and temperature. Estorimating can help you plan your meal and manage your time. The suite is called the Connectivity Suite. Monitor your cook from a phone. You can extend your wireless range using MEATER Link and the MEATER Cloud.
👤When the MEATER first came out, it took a long time to receive, which caused a lot of skepticism. My dad, brother, sister and I all ordered one and were waiting for it to arrive. You may wonder why a review is 5 stars. You don't need to wait a long time. I ordered two more and they all arrived within a week. - Trust us... the temperatures are accurate. We spent a long time thinking that. This is too good to be true. It turned out better than the wired ones when we tried it against our dozen or so. A lot of people are upset about the range. At first, I did too. One thing that the creator of this device should highlight in neon lights is the fact that you can extend the range. I can go to the park and still cook my meat, even though it's not recommended. If you don't know where to look, I think it should pop up. It made my family more comfortable to cook meat. Their app allows you to choose between beef, pork, fish and more, but then further allows you to choose stuff like rib-eye, brisket, steak and more. I only burned one piece of meet out of dozens because I fell asleep on my phone. - It's very easy to clean. It wasn't that much of a problem before, but when you're trying to keep your kitchen clean and neat, and not have 3-4 wires hanging around, this fits in pretty well. There is a We understand... It took a long time for us to be angry. I was one of those people. I was bitter because I didn't touch the device. I'm glad I eventually used it because it works better than advertised. A few friends of mine ordered cheaper versions of the device because they wanted to. Their accuracy was off and the quality was poor.
👤I was excited about this probe, but I realized that the blue tooth range is about 3 feet. They don't tell you that you have to connect to a separate device in order to use the feature. I had to put my device under the grill to get a connection so it would stay connected to my phone. This device is trash like Zak Morris.
👤I might have gotten a bad one. I liked the idea of a thermometer. If you were lucky, the range was 10 feet. During my first cook, it was difficult to get back in touch. After that, it never connected again.
👤The un-boxing was an adventure. A box is revealing a well-crafted wooden. A probe holder. The required battery is included. The Meater App was downloaded for free from the Play Store and was used to setup my phone. There is a The setup of the cook was easy. The app has a lot of videos for you to watch if you need coaching or a walk-through. The cook. I prepared a 4.2 pound chicken and put it in a casserole dish. I put the Meater into the breast's thickest part. I put the cook parameters on the app and then put it in the oven. The Meater made my first cook with it a real adventure because of the ability to monitor both the temp in the oven and the temp of the meat inside. There is a The result. There is a The roast was perfect. The Meater app cook process has a rest interval. The meat was cooked thoroughly and stayed moist and juicy. The Meater will allow me to cook other meats. I have used several, better brand, wired cooking probes with a measure of success. It is a bit hit or miss because the probe simply reads and reports the meat temperature and alert when it has hit the target temp. It is up to the chef to pull it out of the oven earlier. The cable is difficult to clean and restricts use to a few feet of the oven. There is a Conclusion. There is a If the Meater works well on large roasts, I will sell my other devices. I will follow up with other cooks when I can. I have an order for a Meater Block with a wireless access point on my wish list. Think of cooking a few different meats or cuts at the same time on the BBQ or in the oven.

This policy is in case you have any issues with your satisfaction. Get yours today and you will make everyone wonder.
👤I have been using the Inkbird Wireless Thermometer on my smoker for over a month. It works well and seems to be accurate. The monitor has anLED display. It is barely readable in the shade and unreadable in the sun. The smoker is shaded under the patio cover. The Inkbird uses a generic mobile phone app that is used by many wireless thermometer vendors. The app works well, but I wish it was more flexible. The temperature alert and unplugged probe cable alarm sounds can only be turned on or off. The Inkbird is better than some other wireless thermometers, but falls short due to the weak display. I rely more on my phone's display than on the monitor, so I'm happy with it. I received a replacement system after I posted my initial review. The replacement monitor was not as bright as my original one. They did their best to make things right, so I increased my review to 4 stars.
👤I had high hopes for this 4 probe unit, it was hard to find a good 4 probe unit, and it integrates with a phone, which is an added bonus. After a few uses, it stops reading accurate temperatures. I took the probes and dunked them into a pot of boiling water, which should be212, and every probe was way off. The temp was confirmed with my therma-pen. They added a poorly written explanation to their product description saying that if the probes are not fully inserted, it won't read temp properly. I plugged them in and made sure they were fully inserted. Do not recommend this place because you get what you pay for.
👤Unboxing: The design is sleek and compact. The IBT-4XS looks better than the Inkbird 6 probe thermometer. There is a There are 4 probes, 2 probe holders and a charging cable for the thermometer. The internal battery of the thermometer is a big plus. I charged it even though it had an 85% charge. I put all 4 probes in a bath of boiling water and ice before cooking. I used my 6 probe Inkbird and a digital Weber Thermometer as part of the test. The probes read 34 degrees in the ice bath. My Weber read 32 while the 6 probe Inkbird read 34. During the boiling water test, the probes for the IBT-4XS and the 6 probe Inkbird were both read at 210 degrees. I am satisfied with the accuracy of the unit. The app is about Inkbird's BBQ. Go is a great feature. It is easy to pair the thermometer with a wireless device and get all the information you need about your cook. It allows you to keep an eye on your cook. I decided to cook pork butt with this unit because I wanted to set a high limit for the probes I used to use. An alarm sounded when the internal temp was reached. I didn't have to watch the cook. I got it from the thermometer. Awesome! There is a When I use a traditional cooker, I use one of the probes to monitor the temp in the cooker, because I didn't need to worry about the cooker maintaining temperature. If the cooker goes outside of the range, you can set a temperature range and have the app alert you. This is a great feature if you are doing a long cook. Take a nap. If your cooker falls outside of your temperature range, the alarm will let you know. There is a The cook cooked the pork butt pictured. I never had to worry about their progress because they came out amazing. A quick look at my phone, and I knew what was going on. It was nice to not have to go outside to check the temp all the time. I have a large home, and I was able to keep an eye on the temperature from every corner of the house. The app warned me that I was no longer connected after I made a quick trip to the store. This is a nice thermometer, and it's a good price. I would like to see something on future models from Inkbird. Temps can be monitored away from home if there is wi-fi. It would be nice during long cooks. There are two more The app stores information about the cook. What did you cook, how long did it take, how did the temp progress during the cook, and so on. If the fine folks at Inkbird are reading this review, there are just a couple of wish list items. There is a I am very happy with this thermometer, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys BBQ. Happy cooking!

It is easy to use in the dark because of the large display with backlight function. Kitchen Timer and Temp Alarm. You don't need to stay by the grill orsmoker all the time with this wireless meat thermometer, you can bring the receiver with you when you use the temp alarm or timer function. When the preset temperature or preset timer reaches the preset value, the receiver will remind you. It was easy to operate. The transmitter and receiver are done and ready to use, just need to plug in the batteries and the grill thermometer is ready to use. When the temperature is below 40C or no operation after 10 minutes, the grill thermometer will automatically shut off. The meat probe is made of 304 STAINLESS steel and is certified by the FCC and the CE. If you have a problem, please contact them at any time.
👤The turkey turned out great when I used it. The temperature reading was correct, and both readings were the same. You cannot set this to a specific temperature. It has preset temperatures. When I pressed on the preset, the turkey was cooking until the temperature reached 175. The turkey would be too cooked if I let it cook until 175. When the probe was inserted into the turkey breast, I took the turkey out of the oven and tented it, because I kept an eye on the temperature. The temperature rose to 170 over the course of 45 minutes. You can do multiple areas of the meat or different dishes, but you can't preset the temperature you want.
👤It seems that the grill thermometer is pretty accurate. Steaks, roast and pork tenderloin were tested. I compared the internal temperatures of the 3 meats to the expected temperatures based on the meat temperature chart on the internet. The results appeared to be correct. You can check the temperature by testing it on boiling water with probes that read exactly as the water was boiling. Product does everything it says it does, I can monitor the grill outside from anywhere in my house, though I did not test the maximum range because it is subjective and dependent on the environment and house structure. The probes are too long for my liking, which makes them impractical for smaller grills, and the design of the sending and receiving units too closely resembles items like voltmeters, stud finders and other carpentry/ automotive/electrical testers. It was easy to use, accurate and fun, and I really liked that it will alarm when the food hits your preset temp, which greatly reduced the over cooking that happens when you don't pay attention or get side tracked.
👤Absolutely horrible interface. The buttons have labels on them. There's a loud noise that can't be turned down. The housing is plastic-welded together and can't be opened. I can't get in there to try to change the speaker's voice. Changing temperature alarms is a frustrating learning experience because it is not easy to understand. If you go outside to pull your food off the grill, you can detach or turn off the sending unit without first disabling the receiver. Whoops. Drop everything, run inside, wash the grease, coal ash or BBQ sauce off your hands, and then disabling the stupid thing. There is a The sending unit's ON and F/C button is so proud of the case that it is half a centimeter. It will turn on when it's stored in a drawer, so it won't drain the batteries. I can't remove the button pad because it can't be opened. Every time I put it away, I have to pull the batteries out. I don't have hard numbers for accuracy. It is not accurate from the dozen or more uses. The tempeshholds should be set low. Don't take readings off of this, double check with an instant-read. You don't want to end up with ruined food. I think all temperature probes are this way, but the wire insulation around the outside is weak and prone to twisting. If you don't store the probes, the wires, then you'll have to untangle them the next time you use them. There is a It's not a big deal to fix small problems when you read them in text. I'll offset the temp, factor in the inaccuracy, and yank the batteries every time I store it. If you've had to deal with these flaws five or more times, you've already lost a few dollars over a better-made remote temp kit. To sum up... This is another poorly made, mass produced knock off item designed by a person who has never been grilled in his life. It's packed with irrelevant features and complicated, but it's short in areas that matter in the context of cooking meat.
It's easy to use and place anywhere, with front facing buttons, flip-out countertop stand and magnetic back. You can easily monitor your meat in your living room or backyard with a 300ft remote range cooking and meat thermometer. A digital food Thermometer uses a 6.5" food grade and a highly accurate steel meat probe. 10 preset temperatures and 5 doneness levels are recommended by the USDA to help you cook like a pro. The Grill Thermometer has 3 backlight colors to provide a visual indication of how close your meat is to being cooked to perfection; Once the meat has reached its set temp, the bbq Thermometer will flash. The meat thermometers allow you to see both the temperature and timer at the same time, without having to press any buttons.
👤After a few months, the product stopped working. A replacement has been sent to me. Customer service was very good.
👤It can't be trusted. The price of this device is low, but it will cost more if you cook a lot of meat or if it malfunction. I liked the idea of having a device that I could use to check the temperature of the turkey I was smoking. I thought this would allow me to spend more time with the family and less time hovering over the grill. The bird was supposed to cook for about 7 hours. The bird was only reading 135 at the 6 hour mark, which was much lower than expected. It had been reading 135 for a while. I stuck the temperature probe in different parts of the turkey. The readings ranged from 118 to 140. The readings were the same on both the transmitter and reciever. There was no damage to the wire. I closed the grill and watched the bird cook. The temperature was 135 for about an hour. At this point, I abandoned the thermopro and used my Javelin thermometer. The turkey breasts were 165 and the thighs were 180. The bird was done at 7 pm. I would have dried out over cooked Turkey if I had continued to rely on the thermopro. I tested the thermopro against my Javelin using my tap water. The water heater is set to 127. The Javelin was placed under water. The readings ranged from 130-132. I used the thermopro and it stopped at 114. It stopped at 73 on the second try after I tried again. I tested my TruTemp meat thermometer which read my water as 132, but took a long time to get reading. I read some of the negative reviews when I purchased this and thought they might have received a faulty unit. If it doesn't work, I will return it and I would be out $35, compared to a Flame Boss which is around $329). I could go through 10 thermopros for that price and still be ahead of the game. Wrong. You need to factor in the cost of the meat you lose during the cook and the toll it takes on the event you are cooking for. This year was a close miss for me. I agree with some of the other reviews that say it's made of cheap plastic and wouldn't survive a 3 foot drop. That is the kind of thing I expect from you pay for. The core function of a product should be able to be performed regardless of the price.
👤I registered for a 3-year warranty and contacted them about a faulty unit, but have not heard anything since. It was great until it wasn't. The probe is almost 200 degrees F. There is no explanation as to why the thermometer reads so high when it is not inserted. I have used this for cooking and smoking. You can only plug the wired probe into the small remote unit, which may be the faulty part here. I can use the phone, but I can't use the probe wire because there's a knock out for a jack. Alas, cost-savings. I have included pictures of the jack-knockout on the main unit, as well as a red rectangle around it, in case there is a malfunction on the smaller unit. The vendor didn't communicate after they registered for the 3-year warranty. I had this for about 4 months when it stopped working.
Reliable and friendly customer service. You should always be ready to respond within a day. The response time is 2-4 seconds with 0.1 accuracy. The temperature range is -58 572 F. The switch is C/F. If you don't do anything for 10 seconds, Backlit will be extinguished and the light will be turned off. If you don't do anything for 10 minutes, the display will be extinguished and the ON/OFF switch will be pressed for 3 seconds. The probe is easy to use and has a built-in Magnet that is waterproof. BRAPILOT warrants a 2-year warranty on its food thermometer if it fails to function properly due to a defect in workmanship or materials.
👤I was asked by my wife to order this. The tip melted into the caramel when she tried to use it. The product let us down at a time when we really needed it and it rendered the food inedible.
👤We were moving and didn't send back. Would not buy this product.
👤The first couple used it and it was great. This seemed great until it stopped working for me. I changed the battery thinking it was the problem, but it didn't work. I adjusted the battery thinking something was loose. The battery wouldn't turn on when I stopped pushing it, even after I pushed it down securely. It must be a pressure issue. I hope someone sees this and gives me some advice.
👤The last one I washed in the dishwasher didn't survive, but this one is great! It's magnetic and comes with a probe cover.
👤I will be using the small size and accurate readings to check food and liquid temperatures for my cats. I give a 5-star rating to the intermittent-battery problem. I have been fixing this problem for several years by either adding a thin, nonconductive shim in the back of the batteries or adjusting the spring contacts until they touch the batteries. I fixed a flashlight that had batteries in a circle and held them in place so they wouldn't lose contact.
👤I went to look for a new meat thermometer after my one broke. I read reviews on the "probe" style and chose this one because I knew what I wanted to spend. I am very happy. The temperature is easy to read. It's easy to store and wash. It has a probe cover for storage safety.
👤I had to open the battery and put it in right after it failed. After a few weeks, it stopped working.
The package includes a digital food cooking Thermometer, 2 Food Grade IPX7 waterproof probes, and a probe clips holder. The wireless meat thermometer can be used to monitor the 500ft remote range. You don't have to stay in the kitchen or the grill all the time. You can make time to chat with friends, watch a show, or mow the lawn. The grill thermometer can measure a wide range of 14 F to 572 F, with 1.8 F accuracy. The temperature can be read with the probes. The food thermometer can help you cook perfectly and keep the nutrition and taste of meat. There are dual color coated probes. The probes help you identify what meat is being monitored. You can put the probes in the dishwasher or wash them directly with water if they are waterproof. Considering that the transmitter is mostly used in the kitchen and that it will rain outside, it's not surprising. The transmitter is made to be splash-proof. You can choose from 10 different types of meat and a PROG mode on the BBQ Thermometer. The probe2 has a BBQ mode. You can use the HI/LO function to measure the temperature of the grill/smoker. The meat is doneness is 5 levels. You can match the type of meat you like. The meat thermometer has a wide view screen with backlit function. You can see the temperature on the screen in dim light or under the sun. The timer function on the thermometer can count down/up. When the temperature reaches the preset temperature, the receiver will sound and the backlit screen will show the meat has reached the desired temperature.
👤Products in an Apple store were packaged very nicely. The set up comes with a screw driver to open the transmitter battery door, it's only necessary to unpackage and put in 2 sets of 2AAA batteries. I used it in the oven and when the alarm went off in my bedroom, I knew the chicken was done. If you want to put in two different meats or have one steak well done, you can get 2 separate done alarms with the 2 probes. I tried it in the air fryer. The probe handle is hot when you take it out of the oven so use a mit to remove it.
👤The box should have worked. The receiver wouldn't show the temperature. The manual didn't have a way of figuring out how to fix it. It says you don't need to sync. They only gave me a $32.03 refund when I returned the device.
👤This is amazing. I was skeptical at first, but I can tell you why. The previous meat thermometers were not accurate. I would have to go out and check the grill in my house because it wouldn't read right. I heard about this product from a friend and I had to stop everything I was doing to make sure I wasn't over cooking or under cooking our dinner. This was amazing. I left the reader on the kickstand and was able to watch the kids play and read the temperature up to 600 feet away. That is very easy. The product was correct. I will use it all summer. Thank you so much.
👤I got this in time to cook my Easter ham. It was a good thing that I had. The ham took more time to cook than I expected. I put it up so it would tell me when the ham reached a certain temperature. The ham was cooked to order. My next test was a loaf of bread. I have a hard time figuring out when a loaf of bread is done. I put the probe in after cooking it for a while because a loaf of bread doesn't hold the probe properly. That worked well. This was a very useful tool in my kitchen. The print on the instructions was too small for me to read. My son told me how to use it. He didn't have to follow the instructions.
👤I bought this a week before Christmas to make sure I could cook the roast properly. I used it along with the old one that had a remote that had died. The old one was close to the oven temp gauge but this one was 70 degrees higher. It was not good. I told the seller that I would return it. I was told that they were very sorry for my experience and that they would send me a replacement, after I received a reply the next day. I received my refund and a replacement device which works as it should. I'm happy with the device, but I'm even happier with the seller. They know what customer service is. I would buy from this seller again.
