1. Oklahoma Joes 2778408DP All Natural Competition

Oklahoma Joes 2778408DP All Natural Competition

The 15 lbs large-capacity pellet Hopper offers longer cooking time, eliminating the need to refill the hopper constantly. The wood pellets have a sweet and smoky flavor. All-natural hardwood with a clean burn and low ash for easy clean-up. Food-grade pellets are used to enhance the flavor of meat and vegetables. For your own blends, combine with other flavors. A 20-pound bag is needed for the Oklahoma Joe's pellet bucket.

Brand: Oklahoma Joe's

👤I heard of using this to replace cat litter because it doesn't smell and it absorbs better than traditional clay litter, it's so easy to clean, and it's cheaper than traditional clay litter.

👤If you don't look for it in the photos, you will miss it. I use an Amazn maze for cold smoking and the lights are easier to use than other brands. I have a mail box mod on my masterbuilt vertical that will allow me to carry 16 pounds of cheese. Smoke is clean and has a good smell. I will come back in two weeks to let you know how good the smoke was.

👤A fresh bag was burned in an Amazen maze over an electric element after being pre-lit by a stove top fire. A ham was ruined by constant white/rancid smoke. I don't think I'm done with the pellet fad. There's no reason to pay more for wood that came off the tree than it did in other forms. It's a great deal for those buying waste wood and sawdust by the ton and making pellets to sell, but it's not so great to spend 3 hours smoking a ham that's rancid so the dog doesn't even want the bone from it.

👤The pellets do not burn cleanly. I've never had a pellet that produced so much white smoke. I've tried different settings and thought it was my smoker, but the pellets were made with live green wood. Will not buy again.

👤The bag was taped up. The package was in an Amazon parcel.

👤These pellets are very good. They are used for all of our pork items. Apple is a great snack. I wish they were still at $10 a piece.

👤It works well in my traeger. Great price too.

👤They can't seem to get it right with the smoker. The first one was replaced and this one has a C scale.

2. Royal Oak Hardwood Charcoal Grilling

Royal Oak Hardwood Charcoal Grilling

The real cocaine is real. Royal Oak 100 Percent Real Hardwood Charcoal Pellets are great for grilling or smoking. The delicious, smoky flavor of real barbecue can be found in the real hardwood that is used. For any drill. You can use your favorite brand on a pellet grill, and still get that real barbecue flavor. Water retention is a problem. It's easy to clean with pliches because they are resistant to water and do not cause problems. You crave authentic barbecue when the temperature is high.

Brand: Royal Oak

👤These are the best I have used. I have tried all of the ones from Lowe's and HD carry. The royal oak pellets are great. They burn at a more consistent temperature and produce more smoke. smoked a pork butt, some chickens, and a pot roast.

👤It claims to work with pellet grills. It doesn't. My Weber wouldn't go further after he gave a low fuel error message. The fuel sensor is light based and black throws it off. That was a huge benefit. The smell of burning garbage, burning plastic, and hot roofing tar came from the pellets that did burn. It was a putrid sensation. The smell of burning charcoal is similar to burning wood or pellets. The stuff smells terrible. If it had worked, I might have been tempted to cook with it, but we wouldn't have had much for Christmas dinner.

👤I thought it would be similar to lump charcoal when I grilled some chicken. I'll stick to their charcoal when grilling because it maintains heat but doesn't have much flavor.

👤They look nice. They are water resistant. The smoke flavor is neutral. It is difficult to get them lit in a smoke tube. It burns a little too clean, but it's a nice idea. The flavor is almost imperceptibly mild.

👤The shipping was terrible, but I can't complain about the product. The bag was torn open and retaped in a poor fashion when it arrived in a beaten up box. There are pheles inside the box. This was a gift for my son.

👤It is not worth the price.

👤This put out was great.

3. Lumber Jack Varieties Pellet Maple Hickory Cherry

Lumber Jack Varieties Pellet Maple Hickory Cherry

Pairs well with meat and poultry. This pack is great for using a Smokin Wedgie, Electric Smoker, Tube Smoker or Tray Smoker. It's easy to use.

Brand: Lumber Jack

👤In the past, I have bought a bag of 40 lbs of pellets for smoking on my gas grill. They are too much of a good thing to smolder and create a great smoky flavor. I have about 15-20 lbs left even though I use them a lot. I have tried other pellet brands with mixed results, and I like to vary the smoking flavor depending on the items I grilling. This is the first brand of smaller packaged pellets that offers a wide variety of flavors and a consistently high quality of pellet. They smolder uniform and consistent rate, they remain bound together without breaking down into dust, and they ignite easily.

👤It was exactly as advertised. You can use lesser amounts with some fiddling and ad-hockery, or you can fill a 12 inch smoking tube with each pound bag. I ordered larger bags from the same company because of the smell and taste. These are noticeably better-tasting and free of bitter and "off" flavors, when compared to the pellets I got from a local hardware store.

👤The majority of the bags of wood are okay, but the one I was most excited to try was the worst. The wood has a smell of mold. I assume the pellets were bad when they went in because there's no matter on the bag. This is a serious problem. Don't buy!

👤I put my pellet cage close to the edge of my smoker to get the cleanest air. I had to relight the pellet four times. Since I smoked one day after a rainy day, there was too much air in the air and it caused the pellets to not stay lit. I was smoking again a week later. The air was dry and I had the same problem. I get a big bag of pellets from Home Depot. Don't know what to say.

👤I may have a slight preference for BBQer's delight, though these pellets seem to be a good product. I use them in the A-Maze-N smoke generator and only need small quantities. They are very expensive in sample bags. I haven't tried all of the varieties yet, but I would recommend you just go with the blend or straight hickory, pecan, apple, or cherry in a larger bag to save money.

👤I bought wood for my gun. I think it works well if I break up the pellets a little more so there is more surface contact with the flame. The small be pound bags are the perfect size for a variety of smoke flavors.

👤I tried out the Apple pellet on a pork shoulder and ham. Those larger pieces of meat were perfect for that extra smoke flavor. I am looking forward to trying out the other varieties and finding the right combo for our next backyard competition. I over smoked the ribs so you might want to skip the extra smoke tube when doing a smaller, thinner piece of meat.

👤A whole bag burns before you cook. The flavor is decent but the pellets run out so fast that it's only a faint taste. You are excited by standing up. Letdown flavorwise.

4. Smoker Wood Pellets Variety Pack

Smoker Wood Pellets Variety Pack

You will not be disappointed if you add to cart now. The box of wood pellets for smoker grill and pellet stove has a total weight of around 11.9 lbs, with each package weighing around 1.2-1.4 lbs. The right size and the dense nature of the smoker wood pellets allow you to cook up a masterpiece with just the right amount of rich smoke. You can think of anything from seafood, poultry, pork, beef, and even baked goods. A heavy sprinkle of flavored pellets will make your buds taste better and give you a richer flavor.

Brand: Zorestar

👤We spent the last hour trying to like them. It was the most frustrating thing. We tried to get them to light by pouring alcohol on them. I tried to call the phone number but it went to a personal voicemail and I had to email for it to be returned to me. We will. I don't want to be ordering them again and I would advise others to do the same.

👤The title of the product was very deceptive. It is awful that what you get is being charged. To make things worse, you have to leave your way to return the item. I am very upset. I wouldn't recommend buying this.

👤The pellets are great in my smoker, but I don't like how big the bags are, it makes it hard to sample different types of smokes. It is a good way to start in the pellet smoker.

👤It was little on the high side, but liked all the different smoke.

👤Excellent price, great delivery.

👤The bags were really small.

👤I liked the variety pack. I was able to sample many different pellets without buying a big bag of them. Each one was excellent.

5. Louisiana Grills 55408 Mesquite 40 Pound

Louisiana Grills 55408 Mesquite 40 Pound

The smoking tube is made from 304 STAINLESS STEEL and is easy to clean. Smoke tube, smoker tube, pellet smoker tube. The Texas Mesquite Pellets are made from Mesquite and Maple. Impart is a strong, spicy flavor that will bring out the Tex-Mex in your cuisine. For use in pellet grills. The wood used in their product is from across North America.

Brand: Louisiana Grills

👤I was not sold on pellet grills, I was looking to get another burner for smoking. I took a chance because I saw videos of people making items with a pellet grill. Some pellet grills are better than others, but they still lack the ability to sear properly. If you use a different grill type, you won't be able to sear over the entire surface of your grill. A pellet grill can be awesome. I will admit that my Louisiana Grills pellet grill has been consistent in temperature. If you follow the instructions to get to the temperature you want, and keep the pellets in the hopper, it will not maintain that set point. It's better to make good barbecue if you have temperature control. pellet grills are a compromise in this case of convenience for smoke. They have pellet holders for smoking on Amazon, so you can add that extra. You know you're burning that combination with the smoke if you mix them together in my ratio. If possible, I would like to add more wood types. I like other woods for different types of meat and fish. I've never had an issue identifying the wood while the pellet was burning.

👤The bag is on sale for less than the price. I didn't expect much for a 40 pound bag of pellets. The bag was 40.02 pounds and didn't arrive with damage like online purchases. I was surprised. There was not much dust, pellets or smoke. The smoked spatchcock yardbird was outstanding and they fed and burned well in my Camp Chef Pro. I will be watching to see if these pellets go on sale again.

👤The bag seemed to be intact even though the pellets appeared to have been exposed to some sort of substance. The color of the pellets was not as bright. A lot ofsawdust was introduced to the burner and did not feed properly because of the decomposition of the pellets. The second shipment had the same color as the first, but some of the dust was still present, but they seem to feed properly. They replaced the initial order quickly when I reported them. The price of the product is very competitive and I will try again when this batches is used.

👤The first order was received and it was a good smoke. There was more saw dust in the bag than when I bought it. It is to be expected with all the shipping movement. Second order and pellets were spilling out of the box onto my patio before I opened it. The bag was open and mostly smashed to dust when opened. I found two small pieces of plastic mixed in with the pellets. One green and one white, not cool! Returned/exchanging is considered returning. I am not going to take a 40lb bag of pellets and plastic pieces to the store that Amazon wanted. I have ordered Pit Boss before and haven't had this issue, so I will switch back to them.

7. Smoking Pellets Mesquite Pellets Barbecue

Smoking Pellets Mesquite Pellets Barbecue

Pairs well with meat and poultry. Smoking wood pellet produce smoke quickly. Smoker pellets work great with gas grills, charcoal grills, smoker boxes, and even indoor smokers. BBQ Wood Pellets can be used to create a smokey flavor. Variety Pack Smoker Pellets are made in the U.S.A. for the best performance. Pairs well with poultry, pork, meat and more.

Brand: Camerons

👤When they decide to burn the smoke, it smells great and tastes great. They are a pain to light and don't last very long, I use a propane torch and it takes forever. I wouldn't buy them again. I used them all before I wrote this review, and they stink. The cherry was good and the smoke time was good for chicken thighs, so they got a 3 overall.

👤It's a good way to sample different flavors. One container is not big enough to fill my smoker. I wish there were more ounces in each. The price per ounce is high.

👤Finally! A product that works. These pellets are very good. They are light, stay lite and have a great flavor. I would recommend filling a long smoke tube. The unit is 1/3's full because the pellets only fill the 12 unit. The 3-2-1 method requires more than 1/3's for 2 racks of Saint Louis style ribs. The product is very nice. I ordered more.

👤It's like over priced saw dust. Disappointing.

👤The smoke in my camp chef smoker was great. I didn't pay attention to where it said PINT. I thought they were gallon sized buckets, based on the picture. The quality and flavor of these were great, even though they were barely enough to smoke.

👤I am really unhappy with this purchase. I got the wood shavings instead of the pellets. I'm willing to try them. Not impressed at all. They followed all the instructions, including soaking in the water. The flavor barely affected it. Would not recommend.

👤If you're starting out, chips are fine. You can fill a smoker tube with one container. The flavor is good, but I would only pick it up as a sample.

👤These pellets are very good. They put out a lot of smoke. Good for smoking hot or cold. The problem is that each container only gives you about 4 hours of smoke time, so it's not the greatest value.

8. Traeger PEL331 Signature All Natural Hardwood

Traeger PEL331 Signature All Natural Hardwood

There is no need to worry about the lifespan of Eco Firestarters. They will work perfectly every time, even if you have had them for a long time. There is a fire in the wood. The flavors of maple, cherry, and hickory combine for in their Traeger Signature Blend Hardwood Pellets for flavor that can take on just about anything you cook, from BBQ meats to fish and veggies. The best wood-fired grill on the market requires the best wood pellets on the market. It starts with all-natural hardwood pellets made in American mills, which are tied to quality materials and achieving perfect smoke. The perfect honeybee has been developed by Traeger for years. Traeger has spent years mastering the development of hardwood pellets that have just the right amount of moisture content to maintain a perfect burn-to-smoke ratio. Pairs. Pairs well with beef, poultry, pork, lamb, seafood, baked goods, vegetables. Premium Quality, All-Natural, Clean Burn, No Binders, Low Ash, 20lb Bag are features. Selecting the pellet + rub option pairs their recommended Traeger spice rub to each wood pellet flavor.

Brand: Traeger

👤I would like to give a zero stars rating to these pellets. These are the worst pellet you can use for smoking on a pellet grill. They don't tell you there is no Mesquite wood in their pellets. None of the flavors have that type of wood in them. They use a base of alder and then treat the pellets with oils to make them taste good. I spent hundreds of dollars on Traeger pellets and I felt stupid when I found out. I could not believe the difference when I found the pellets. The meat coming out of the grill was better. I use a brand called Lumberjack that is 100% mesquite and you can spend a few extra dollars to find it. If it doesn't say 100%, you are getting less than you want.

👤If you read up on them, they may be hardwood, but not the aromatic species advertised. I sent all of it back. Be aware. The lumberjack pellet is better.

👤I have had bad luck buying the blend pellets twice. I bought from both Amazon and Costco. The pellets have turned to dust in the hopper and caused problems with the grill. I have never had the other pellets break down like this. I will avoid the blend variety from now on.

👤The pellets smelled old when we opened the bag. The bag that we got was years old and had been sitting on the shelf for a long time. We tried to use them in the smoker to see how they burned, thinking we'd smell that wood flavor once they lit. Nope. There was no smell at all. Completely useless. We emptied the bag and threw it away.

👤You read the label and think you are getting 100% natural hardwood, but you are wrong. Guess again. Traeger uses cheap oak or alder wood and then adds oils to give it a flavor that is supposed to be on the label. I don't know how these oils don't count as unnatural. I wish the consumers win the class action lawsuit that Traeger has been hit with. The difference is night and day when you try those and real mesquite. Do not support a dishonest company.

👤The pellets are made of CRAP. We used Traegers Hickory Pellots from Costco and had no issues. We bought the apple wood through Amazon. The traeger caught fire. It was frightening. The pellots look like cheap pressed wood that you find in old kitchen cabinets. The size of the pellot is not even and I think it poses a problem in the burning processed. They turned into wood dust when they were put into the hopper. The smoke coming out of the hopper is not normal. After removing the meat from the traeger, my husband and I found what we believed to be the problem. There was a full layer of sawdust inside the covered hopper. That didn't catch on fire. We won't be using them again. It was a big waste of money. I finished the turkey in the oven. It was a big disappointment.

9. Camerons Smoking Pellets Pellets Barbecue

Camerons Smoking Pellets Pellets Barbecue

Smoking wood pellet produce smoke quickly. Smoker pellets work great with gas grills, charcoal grills, smoker boxes, and even indoor smokers. BBQ Wood Pellets can be used to create a smokey flavor. The wood pellet is made in the U.S.A. for the best performance. Pairs well with meat and poultry.

Brand: Camerons

👤There was a lot of pellets for those wondering what size they were.

👤It was grossly overpriced. Total waste of money. I was so excited to find the product description matched what I was looking for, but I didn't realize it was a double handful. I would have gotten more smoke.

👤It was too expensive and little product. Unless you want to try it out on the backyard grill.

👤These are ridiculous. They are small containers for $7.00. Not worth the money. There is no value here. Don't buy!

👤I put the pellets in my gas grill away from the direct heat and only had to burn one hour for the entire tube. Most other pellets will burn for 4 or 5 hours.

👤I have a Weber electric grill that I like to smoke occasionally. These work well in smoke pucks. I put two pucks on the grill as it heated up and when it was at high temp in about 25 to 30 minutes they were smoking in time to put the food on. I used half of them the first time, as I didn't need smoke for a long time and just did steaks for a few minutes. I used less pellet for some burgers. You don't need much to get a good smoke going, and you don't need to use two pucks. I tried using dry wood chips on the grill, but it couldn't get the chips to smoking, so I'll stick with the pellets for the grill and use chips for the charcoal grill.

👤The value for money is not known. It's like a measuring cup for smoker pellets. I got 15 pounds from Lowes for 9 dollars.

👤The flavor was nice, but had a little trouble with staying lit, so I filled my tube twice.

👤Vraiment des petits pots de granule.

10. BBQrs Delight Wood Smoking Pellets

BBQrs Delight Wood Smoking Pellets

Each bag contains 1 pound of each flavor. 1/3 cup per use is needed. It's easy to use. Works with any type of grill. It is made in the USA.

Brand: Bbq'rs Delight

👤I liked trying different flavors. Even though it was a bit pricey. I own a Traeger grill and smoker. The problem is that by the time I got the 1lb bag for each wood flavor, it was almost gone. Trying to use one. So had to mix wood pellet combinations. It was disappointing for sure. I didn't realize how much my smoker used. I thought I would have enough. Not sure how people can say they have smoked so much. I have not been able to. It's a great way to try different smokes.

👤These are what I expected. There were undamaged plastic bags. There is a I think there is some confusion about the purpose of the pellets. There is a They are best used to add smoke, not as a source of energy to cook meat. I use a smoker. It has a mechanism to add hardwood chips to the electric element. It has proved to be unsatisfactory. The 12" Stainless Steel Smoker Tube Smoker Box is a great example of how these chips can be used. I put the pellets in the Smoker tube, set the open end on fire with a propane torch, and let them burn for five minutes. After blowing out the flames, I put the smoker tube in the electric smoker to make sure that the meat doesn't get stuck in the pellet. This works well. Only outside use is allowed. Cook at a low and slow temperature. Cheers!

👤My husband got a smoker and started smoking. I bought these for my dad. I know they are a sample pack. They are small. The instructions for how to use these are in the picture. It is done by putting a foil pouch on a grill. I was upset because I thought he could use them with the smoker, if you combine them all that kind of defeats the purpose. A picture of the variety pack next to a regular bag made the difference. It would have been nice for my husband to try different flavors. We know we don't like it. $35 is a bit pricey. I think the flavor is good, we've heard great things about it. Value for money is not good. Warmth is notapplicable for smoking food.

👤I bought the blend at Home Depot. The smell of the pellets is so good. It's real wood, not liquid smoke. The Traeger pellets have oil-based flavors. When I smoked it, it smelled terrible. It's hard to go back to regular pellets once you have quality ones. The flavor pack is great. I can get a few uses out of each bag. I know which flavors I like, so I will order directly from them. These are not fuel pellets. Generic hardwood pellets are "diluted" with these. At first, I was confused about how expensive it was. When I realized how much better this stuff smelled, I was like, "okay, ok." I understand it now.

👤I use the A-maz'n smoker tube to smoke. I put half a cup of my choice in the tube, put them on my grill gate and light them with a propane torch. Blow out the flame after burning for 1-2 minutes. You can put meat, fish, cheese, or nuts on the top shelf of your grill. The pellets will burn for 2 hours and give you a wonderful smoky flavor. It's a great way to get that "low and slow" smoke flavor when you have enough time to grill your meal.

11. Smokehouse Products Natural Flavored Smoking

Smokehouse Products Natural Flavored Smoking

Pairs well with meat and poultry. The cleanest raw materials were used. All tree bark is removed to ensure maximum smoke. Wood doesn't contain oils. For an even consistent burn, ground is precision.

Brand: Smokehouse

👤Good smoke flavor and pellet pressed well. Not a lot of dust.

👤It was used to smoke cheese and turkey. Both were great.

👤I bought 20 lbs bags for the same price but this looks better.
