Selecting the pellet + rub option pairs their recommended Traeger spice rub to each wood pellet flavor. The blend of apple and maple is called the England apple pellet. It's a smoky, mild, sweet flavor. For use in pellet grills. The wood used in their product is from across North America.
👤I was not sold on pellet grills, I was looking to get another burner for smoking. I took a chance because I saw videos of people making items with a pellet grill. Some pellet grills are better than others, but they still lack the ability to sear properly. If you use a different grill type, you won't be able to sear over the entire surface of your grill. A pellet grill can be awesome. I will admit that my Louisiana Grills pellet grill has been consistent in temperature. If you follow the instructions to get to the temperature you want, and keep the pellets in the hopper, it will not maintain that set point. It's better to make good barbecue if you have temperature control. pellet grills are a compromise in this case of convenience for smoke. They have pellet holders for smoking on Amazon, so you can add that extra. You know you're burning that combination with the smoke if you mix them together in my ratio. If possible, I would like to add more wood types. I like other woods for different types of meat and fish. I've never had an issue identifying the wood while the pellet was burning.
👤The bag is on sale for less than the price. I didn't expect much for a 40 pound bag of pellets. The bag was 40.02 pounds and didn't arrive with damage like online purchases. I was surprised. There was not much dust, pellets or smoke. The smoked spatchcock yardbird was outstanding and they fed and burned well in my Camp Chef Pro. I will be watching to see if these pellets go on sale again.
👤The bag seemed to be intact even though the pellets appeared to have been exposed to some sort of substance. The color of the pellets was not as bright. A lot ofsawdust was introduced to the burner and did not feed properly because of the decomposition of the pellets. The second shipment had the same color as the first, but some of the dust was still present, but they seem to feed properly. They replaced the initial order quickly when I reported them. The price of the product is very competitive and I will try again when this batches is used.
👤The first order was received and it was a good smoke. There was more saw dust in the bag than when I bought it. It is to be expected with all the shipping movement. Second order and pellets were spilling out of the box onto my patio before I opened it. The bag was open and mostly smashed to dust when opened. I found two small pieces of plastic mixed in with the pellets. One green and one white, not cool! Returned/exchanging is considered returning. I am not going to take a 40lb bag of pellets and plastic pieces to the store that Amazon wanted. I have ordered Pit Boss before and haven't had this issue, so I will switch back to them.
We say that it is not oak or alder. Will not void the manufacturers warranty.
👤I read all the reviews and this was my second time ordering these, I read the one that said he found pieces of blue plastic in it but didn't notice anything. When I opened the pallet container, I saw a few pieces of blue plastic in it, but I thought my grill internals were burning. No matter how good or cheap they are, wont order any of these again. I ordered two last time and got one.
👤I read the manufacturer's response to the customers who found blue plastic in their pellets and assumed that all of the manufacturing problems had been solved. I spotted a pellet that is not safe for food use during the initial loading of my hopper. The pellet has green paint on it. Who knows how many pellets are actually made with unnatural impurities? Attached is a photo.
👤I have a computer. One of the best pellet grills on the market is the bull pellet grill. When I ordered the grill, I ordered 400 pounds of Rec Tec's Ultimate blend pellets, used all of them and decided to try them out because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. After a few cooks, I started to notice a small amount of ash on my food, but I never got that with the Rec Tec pellets. I ordered 80 pounds and kept using them, but I would get a bit of ash on the food. I went back to the pellets. I found more ash after using 70 pounds of Cookingpellets brand than I did after using 400 pounds of Rec Tec pellets. It was crazy. The cook time between cleanings is about 20%. I liked the flavor but will not buy them again. If you haven't tried the pellets before, give them a try.
👤The best cooking pellet for the money is on Amazon. I bought 6 bags of the perfect mix for my Traeger Smoker. I've purchased BBQ Delight pellets from their website, but they don't sell large quantities on Amazon. The mix is better for my family and I. It's great to have pelleted meat for pulled pork and brisket. It is difficult to smoke chicken with the skin. There is a fair amount of ash left by these. I vacuum out the ash after a long smoke. The amount of ash is the same. There is a bad thing about these pellets. The shipment. The cardboard box is very snug with the plastic bag. If you use scissors to open the box, you will need to cut the plastic to put the pellets in the container.
👤I use my pellet cooker several times a week, even in the harsh winters of the midwest, and I've tried many brands of pellets along the way, but CookinPellets Perfect Mix is the only one that holds a candle to CookinPellets Perfect Mix Consistent in size, smoke, and flavor. They produce very little ash and burn at an incredibly consistent rate that gives me more cook hours than other brands. My hopper has never had an issue with these pellets, and even when outdoor temperatures plummet, they burn steadily, without massive fluctuations. I am a big fan of CookinPellets and I am looking forward to trying the other wood pellet options this season.
Each bag contains 1 pound of each flavor. 1/3 cup per use is needed. It's easy to use. Works with any type of grill. It is made in the USA.
👤I liked trying different flavors. Even though it was a bit pricey. I own a Traeger grill and smoker. The problem is that by the time I got the 1lb bag for each wood flavor, it was almost gone. Trying to use one. So had to mix wood pellet combinations. It was disappointing for sure. I didn't realize how much my smoker used. I thought I would have enough. Not sure how people can say they have smoked so much. I have not been able to. It's a great way to try different smokes.
👤These are what I expected. There were undamaged plastic bags. There is a I think there is some confusion about the purpose of the pellets. There is a They are best used to add smoke, not as a source of energy to cook meat. I use a smoker. It has a mechanism to add hardwood chips to the electric element. It has proved to be unsatisfactory. The 12" Stainless Steel Smoker Tube Smoker Box is a great example of how these chips can be used. I put the pellets in the Smoker tube, set the open end on fire with a propane torch, and let them burn for five minutes. After blowing out the flames, I put the smoker tube in the electric smoker to make sure that the meat doesn't get stuck in the pellet. This works well. Only outside use is allowed. Cook at a low and slow temperature. Cheers!
👤My husband got a smoker and started smoking. I bought these for my dad. I know they are a sample pack. They are small. The instructions for how to use these are in the picture. It is done by putting a foil pouch on a grill. I was upset because I thought he could use them with the smoker, if you combine them all that kind of defeats the purpose. A picture of the variety pack next to a regular bag made the difference. It would have been nice for my husband to try different flavors. We know we don't like it. $35 is a bit pricey. I think the flavor is good, we've heard great things about it. Value for money is not good. Warmth is notapplicable for smoking food.
👤I bought the blend at Home Depot. The smell of the pellets is so good. It's real wood, not liquid smoke. The Traeger pellets have oil-based flavors. When I smoked it, it smelled terrible. It's hard to go back to regular pellets once you have quality ones. The flavor pack is great. I can get a few uses out of each bag. I know which flavors I like, so I will order directly from them. These are not fuel pellets. Generic hardwood pellets are "diluted" with these. At first, I was confused about how expensive it was. When I realized how much better this stuff smelled, I was like, "okay, ok." I understand it now.
👤I use the A-maz'n smoker tube to smoke. I put half a cup of my choice in the tube, put them on my grill gate and light them with a propane torch. Blow out the flame after burning for 1-2 minutes. You can put meat, fish, cheese, or nuts on the top shelf of your grill. The pellets will burn for 2 hours and give you a wonderful smoky flavor. It's a great way to get that "low and slow" smoke flavor when you have enough time to grill your meal.
Pairs well with poultry, pork, meat and more. Smoking Apple wood is authentic. The Applewood fruit overtones make for a unique smoking experience. It's great for pellet grills, charcoal grills and smokers. Smoke delicious flavor to food without the need for sauces. Smoke delicious flavor to food without the need for sauces.
👤Word chips are what they are. It's difficult to find chips in the stronger flavors. Oak seems to be non-existent. Since chips are leftovers from the production floor, there is no reason to pay a lot of money. This product is equivalent to or less than what you can purchase locally.
👤The picture is not what it appears to be. I thought I was getting all of the bags. I only got one bag. I received the package and didn't know it. The description does specify this. I didn't pay attention to that. You had the option to pick what flavor you wanted, but I didn't see that. It goes to mesquite.
👤I used a mild flavor in my pizza oven. It was hot and clean.
👤The bag that was delivered contained all the pellets, but it had completely rupted. It looked like someone dropped a shovel full of wood pellets into a pouch.
👤Good.wood chips and Applewood products. For bacon that has been smoked. You will like it if you try it.
👤Father's Day gift for stepdad. He liked it.
👤There are three different woods in the picture. I thought it was a variety pack. No. Only one. I feel cheated. I hope the smoke is good.
👤Misleading advertising. I thought it was 3 bags, but it is only 1 if you read the fine print. The price was for a bag. The same product is $7 at a tire store. There is a My bad. Won't fall for that again. Hope you don't.
👤Only one bag is delivered. The assumption of 3 bags at a cost of 35 dollars was a little expensive but one bag for 35 is insane. I don't care what the smell is like.
👤The first backyard bbq gas grill we bought uses these. If you want the smoke to start quicker, you should not wet them, otherwise you will be waiting for a long time before you get any smoke. We watched a few videos on how to use smoking chips. The best way to make a pouch is to fold a large piece of aluminum foil in half, roll it and crimp the left and right sides. Roll in and crimp the top of the pouch after adding in a good amount of smoking chips. If you want to put the bbq grill flames face-up, you have to poke a small hole in the center of the packet. Close the lid and let it heat up. You'll get a nice scent of apple and rum. The bag is small so we had to buy 2 packs of smoking wood chips so hopefully they will last us a while.
👤The bag was a lot bigger than it looked, I think the amount and size are related to my monkey brain, but to be fair these are wood chips not compressed, so there should be lots of volume as well. I'm a happy brain monkey. I fill my smoker at a certain amount and it should last 4 to 10 bbq's. I don't think producers should charge more for a bag of chips left over from wood manufacturing. The product is 5 stars.
The wood used in their product is from across North America. There are no artificial flavors, spray scents, glues or chemicals. Burn hotter and cleaner. Natural juices in the wood bind the pellets together, making them easy to use and great tasting. The wood used in their product is from across North America.
👤The price for Apple pellets is good. There was a bit of sawdust in the bag. I have not had an issue with the Cookin Pellets brand. They did smoke and burn well.
👤I gave this to my son for his birthday, but I was not familiar with his new pellet grill, and the price was much better on Amazon, but after doing some research these pellets were highly recommended by barbecue enthusiasts, and the price was much better. He loves them. I bought some different flavors.
👤I use these pellets all the time in my car. They have a little more dust than other brands, but it hasn't affected performance or created clogs. Excellent with pork, chicken, and pizza. A mild flavor is hard to beat. You may be able to find them cheaper at a home improvement store. Amazon always has these pellets at an agreeable price when I can't find them in my area.
👤Fast delivery. 40 lbs of pellet is a good price. There is a I love doing pork belly and pork ribs.
👤Good American hardwoods. Can't beat it. The meat tastes good. So good.
👤These burn well. Make good heat on the highest setting. The amount of pellets turned to dust. Probably bad handling.
👤Excellent quality, fast shipping and package was undamaged.
👤I bought these because there aren't a lot of places to buy food grade hard wood pellets in my area. They taste great. I've been using the traeger pellets and I couldn't believe the difference between them. I will not be going back. They burn very cleanly and have very little ash. These are a no-brainer because shipping on Amazon was included. What a great purchase.
👤These work well in a smoker tin and pellet tubes. I don't have a pellet grill. I like to smoke meat on my BBQ. These produce a good amount of smoke and last a long time. I was happy with how long they lasted, a pellet tube smoked for about 100 minutes. The flavour is very pleasant. I have used apple wood chips before and they were better. They come in a bag. There were a few small holes in the bag, which made it obvious that there was a mess in my bag. The bag was mostly intact, but some will get broke up moving it.
👤These pellets were used to smoke pork, beef, and chicken. Clean burning.
👤The product is great for smoking. It's great.
👤It tasted good and will try again.
It's perfect for all types of grilling. Made from 100% Apple Wood. It's perfect for cooking up beef, chicken, pork, fish, or vegetables. Depending on the amount used, 200 uses per 20 pound bag. It is made in the USA.
👤I have been using BBQ Delight brand for about 10 years. This person broke the record. The box is covered in a scent. The stink was still on my hands after I washed my hands 10 times. The bags are broken. I debated putting the box on the trash can. If you burned these, your turkey or meat would be ruined.
👤You need oak if you want to smoke beef. This product is one of the best for pure oak pellets. I have kept them outside in a closed cabinet for all seasons and they have not had any issues with absorbing water. I have always received the correct variety. Highly recommended.
👤I don't know what it is, but I have used every brand that sells pellets over the past five years and consistently get the best results with BBQers Delight. I'm not sure why, but if it isn't broken don't fix it.
👤The bag could be better used. Excellent product.
👤My go to fuel is mixed with cherry. Light and nice Burns. Pork and beef can be used.
👤The peach flavor was decent but the pellets didn't burn well. They left a mess on my ribs and the grill. My Camp Chef pellets were cleaner and a lot better. I had to send the first bag back because it was torn. There aren't many options to buy peach pellets so I may try another batches in the future. I will probably throw my current batches away.
👤The best pellet for long cooks is the Cherry and Pecan.
👤A little more ash but a good flavor.
It helps produce a long burn. Apple wood pellet blend with oak for a fruity smoke flavor. All-natural hardwood with a clean burn and low ash for easy clean-up. Food-grade pellets are used to enhance the flavor of food. For your own blends, combine with other flavors. A 20-pound bag is needed for the Oklahoma Joe's pellet bucket.
👤I heard of using this to replace cat litter because it doesn't smell and it absorbs better than traditional clay litter, it's so easy to clean, and it's cheaper than traditional clay litter.
👤If you don't look for it in the photos, you will miss it. I use an Amazn maze for cold smoking and the lights are easier to use than other brands. I have a mail box mod on my masterbuilt vertical that will allow me to carry 16 pounds of cheese. Smoke is clean and has a good smell. I will come back in two weeks to let you know how good the smoke was.
👤A fresh bag was burned in an Amazen maze over an electric element after being pre-lit by a stove top fire. A ham was ruined by constant white/rancid smoke. I don't think I'm done with the pellet fad. There's no reason to pay more for wood that came off the tree than it did in other forms. It's a great deal for those buying waste wood and sawdust by the ton and making pellets to sell, but it's not so great to spend 3 hours smoking a ham that's rancid so the dog doesn't even want the bone from it.
👤The pellets do not burn cleanly. I've never had a pellet that produced so much white smoke. I've tried different settings and thought it was my smoker, but the pellets were made with live green wood. Will not buy again.
👤The bag was taped up. The package was in an Amazon parcel.
👤These pellets are very good. They are used for all of our pork items. Apple is a great snack. I wish they were still at $10 a piece.
👤It works well in my traeger. Great price too.
👤They can't seem to get it right with the smoker. The first one was replaced and this one has a C scale.
A 20-pound bag is needed for the Oklahoma Joe's pellet bucket. Smoking wood pellet produce smoke quickly. Smoker pellets work great with gas grills, charcoal grills, smoker boxes, and even indoor smokers. BBQ Wood Pellets can be used to create a smokey flavor. Apple Smoker Pellets are made in the U.S.A. and are 100% Natural. Pairs well with meat and poultry.
👤There was a lot of pellets for those wondering what size they were.
👤It was grossly overpriced. Total waste of money. I was so excited to find the product description matched what I was looking for, but I didn't realize it was a double handful. I would have gotten more smoke.
👤It was too expensive and little product. Unless you want to try it out on the backyard grill.
👤These are ridiculous. They are small containers for $7.00. Not worth the money. There is no value here. Don't buy!
👤I put the pellets in my gas grill away from the direct heat and only had to burn one hour for the entire tube. Most other pellets will burn for 4 or 5 hours.
👤I have a Weber electric grill that I like to smoke occasionally. These work well in smoke pucks. I put two pucks on the grill as it heated up and when it was at high temp in about 25 to 30 minutes they were smoking in time to put the food on. I used half of them the first time, as I didn't need smoke for a long time and just did steaks for a few minutes. I used less pellet for some burgers. You don't need much to get a good smoke going, and you don't need to use two pucks. I tried using dry wood chips on the grill, but it couldn't get the chips to smoking, so I'll stick with the pellets for the grill and use chips for the charcoal grill.
👤The value for money is not known. It's like a measuring cup for smoker pellets. I got 15 pounds from Lowes for 9 dollars.
👤The flavor was nice, but had a little trouble with staying lit, so I filled my tube twice.
👤Vraiment des petits pots de granule.
A 20-pound bag is needed for the Oklahoma Joe's pellet bucket. All-natural food grade pellets. Premium solid hardwoods are used. The content is ultra-low. All natural virgin hardwood.
👤I smoked some cheeses and let them mellow for 36 hours. After a long time of smoke. The ash on the leftover coals in the bottom of the grill had a yellow tint to it, rather than the grey ash they started with. If you have to throw out what you've cooked, why save money? I lit them with a torch, so there was no added fuel.
👤I am very pleased with the quality of the pellets. They burn well and stay solid. I keep them in a plastic container until I need them and they stay in one solid piece. The ones that are left in the feed bin for a period of time are the same as the ones that are left for a few months or more. I used them to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving and they worked great. The bird had a great taste and was infused with the skoe. I had to order another bag because I ran out. There is a Good price. It does not plug the pot feeders. My wife likes the taste so much that I have to keep cooking. I like to cook on my smoker. I would recommend them to anyone. You won't be disappointed.
👤It's perfect for the Smoker Tube. A standard BBQ ligher won't light them up with a gas torch. I don't recommend adding any fire starter cubes or fluid as it might add foul smells. A bunch of cheese was smoked in my grill Tube in the bottom, and then I put it on top of the Smoking Stone. I left the middle ring out because I wanted to add ice to my smoking. In Texas you need ice to keep the cheese from melting.
👤The apple wood has been a great way to start with our new smoker grill combo. We've cooked everything so far and it had a mild, smoky flavor that didn't overwhelm the taste of the food.
👤My husband and I love to shoot. The Camp Chef smoker has apple wood pellets and the food is really good. They produce very little ash. We smoked a turkey with this and only produced a small amount of ash. Our family had smoked turkey, a fried one and an oven roasted one, all of which were good, but ours was the favorite.
👤I'm not sure about this purchase. I've smoked two different times now. The first and second were about 2 hours and 4 hours, respectively. The pellets burn well. I used a heat gun to light them up. The chicken and pork ribs had a lot of smoke flavor. The apple flavor seems to be non-existent after I purchased it. If you are looking for a strong apple flavor, I would look elsewhere.
👤It is important that the pellet is rated food grade and made from wood, otherwise it will not be good for smoking food. If the pellet is made with Oak, they add a cherry or apple flavor. You aren't buying a 100% cherry or apple. The Oak is not desired.
It is made in the USA. A-MAZE-N Wood BBQ is made from 100% Apple WOOD. All of the pellets are natural and free of artificial flavors or oils. Adding a smoke flavor to food is anywayanyday. Their desire to eat healthier and try new foods brought them to the world of smoking. Apple is mild with a fruity flavor. Good with meat and cheese. Store in the cool dry area with a sealed container or bag. The ability to stay lit and the burning process can be affected by the absorption of air moisture. A-MAZE-N Products are made in the USA and are made with wood smoke.
👤I wanted to try cold smoke. The A-Maze-n pellet tray was bought. Also bought more pellets. I have been unable to keep the burn going. 1. I use a blowtorch. At least one minute. The flame would go out on its own many times, so let it burn for 10 minutes. The pellets should be heated for 30 minutes. On the grill at the bottom of Kamado Joe. The top and bottom vents are open. 5. To see if being off the bottom improved the air flow, I placed conquer and divide on a stone. I was hoping that one would remain lighted. 7. Every 12 hour 8. It would go in both directions if it was hopping at center. If our forests were made up of wood, what can I say? We wouldn't have forst fires. There is a On the hunt for a pellet. There is a Thank you for reading.
👤I made a cold-temperature smoker from a $20 grill and an old tool box. They did a great job. I got three hours of clean smoke from a tube that was advertised to last two hours, but I got it with the end of a 6-inch tube that was elevated about an inch. I lit them with a butane torch and blew on them until I had a bright cigar-like cherry going. They burned to a small pile of white ash. I will be by them again. The phase in the video is caramel color. Bill is the husband.
👤The pellets are made from 100% apple wood, which is why they cost more. If you find a cheaper apple pallet, you will most likely find a small print that says it's mostly hardwood. I'm not saying those pellets are bad, but just be aware of what you are getting. This fits the bill for what I wanted.
👤I bought this with the A-MAZE N Pellet Smoker, since they are the same brand, but the result is they won't stay light, my 12 hours smoke project has never finished. I had the longest smoke time of 3 hours, then a couple of hours, and finally 30 minutes, but I'm not sure if it's the pellet problem or the smoker problem, so I gave up.
👤It's so easy to set up a maze. Light it and make sure it has the right amount of smoke. One length of the maze seems to provide 4 hours of smoke, but only one use so far. It can be used for bacon wrapped jalapeo poppers. The bacon is looking great.
👤This was purchased with a pellet smoker tube. A bit of this box is needed to fill the tube. I used it to cook a couple of meat dishes on my grill. I bought a torch from Bernzomatic that worked great and was recommended by other reviewers. They put off a lot of smoke after I got the pellets lit. Try other flavors of pellets in the future.
👤The pellets work well on a gas grill. Just put a hand full of wood chip holders in your kitchen and in a second you will be able to taste the hardwood smoke.
The wood used in their product is from across North America. The wood pellet is designed for grilling and adding flavor to the smoke. It's perfect for grilling and outdoor cooking. The larger diameter pellet allows them to last longer than standard size pellets. The blend of applewood, American hickory, and red oak is both mature and gentle. It helps produce a long burn.
👤When purchased, it didn't tell you how many pounds were in the bag. The product was listed at 40lb. I assumed it was going to be 40 lbs. There is a bag. I looked before buying but could not find the weight. The bag was only 28 lbs when I received it. You learn as you live.
👤These GMG pellets are great. The burn was clean and long. The blend of fruitwood is hard to find in the area. It's a great blend for meat. It's used for everything from salmon to burgers. Product was in good shape after delivery. Will continue to order.
👤I loved it. I'm kind of a girl. I would try this. My husband put it on the steak. He knows me. I don't like to eat. It was great. You just have to see if it's good for you. I recommend it.
👤Two pheasants were smoked on Thanksgiving with these pellets. They came out well. The fruit blend smoke flavor worked well with the birds. I had less than an ounce of ash in the ash collector after smoking for 3 hours. The burn is very efficient and the taste is great. Would buy them again.
👤A friend suggested I try the Texas Blend pellet when I bought my Green Mountain Grill smoker. They are my favorite. I would definitely order again after this order came right on time.
👤I used to use the pool store's pellets. I wasn't getting full heat from my grill. Couldn't get above 400 degrees. The quality of the pellet is what makes a difference. These work well.
👤I just bought a smoker and fired it up. They started right up and seem to work well. The pellets were packaged well. The bag should be re-sealable. I'm being picky now. I have a Traeger at home and bought a pellet named Davy for camping, but I'm curious if these are the same pellet. Highly recommend the seller, they were impressed with their customer service and sent me an email to make sure I was happy. People, thumbs up!
👤The delivery was fast and worked well in the smoker.
👤The price for pellets is good. There is not much choice for pellets in Australia. This is a great alternative.
